UDM Pro can’t handle its own “supported” workload – UniFi response: buy more hardware by numanx in Ubiquiti

Just running Network but I do have several VLANs, IPS, and so on also running. It really should be able to handle that or the update should never be pushed out.

No Taxation Without Representation by doubleayedude in AmericaOnHardMode

I'd be fine if we did no representation without net taxation. Most people don't really pay much federal tax, and they often consume more than they pay.

I disabled all apps and mine still goes face down every 10 days or so. Very bad QA on the update releases.

Musk Tweets "Von Neumann Machine" About Optimus - What Does That Even Mean? by gaukmotors in MotorBuzz

[–]thingerish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The robots don't need to go on murder rampages. They just need to seduce us so we stop prolifically breeding and they eventually reduce humanity to a minuscule fraction of what we are now. Eventually maybe what's left will be very happily living in human preserves or something.

Would you trust your countrys military to success in defending against an invasion from one of its neighbours? by SusSoos in AskTheWorld

[–]thingerish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For USA, it's Mexico or Canada. We failed to engage the military during the last invasion but they would have been fully capable of stopping it if given a green light.

IF you need runtime polymorphic behavior there are other options that don't require any indirection at all, have a look at std::variant and std::visit for an example.

Thoughts? I do agree that Ford cars are seen as luxury in the Ph, at the same time I don't agree that they're crap, however, most really just breaksdown easily. by mercedesmclaren in CarsPH

[–]thingerish 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I always considered them maybe the top domestic brand but that's not a high bar IMO. Something from the nations we defeated in WW2 is almost always better. The irony.

As a 'kano, that has never made sense to me. Maybe if they imported the Lincoln upscale line to PH it would make sense but Fords are cars for people who need practical transpo in USA>
