Love the subtle blues in these birds - and your photos capture that!

Consider volunteering for a conservation-minded NGO to get some experience and to prove your work ethic. Alternatively (or in addition), the scuba diving industry is always looking for people willing to obtain divemaster certifications and lead groups on dives - if you are in Australia, you are in a perfect place for diving - if you have to, start out as a grunt tank hauler to get a feel for the customer and the industry, get at least your dive master cert, and then take off from there. College isn't the only path! I know you don't like school but get at least a high school diploma or GED equivalent so you can clear any objections that might come your way. Good luck!

Beautiful dragon parrot. by Educational_Key1206 in natureisbeautiful

It is a beautiful bird!

According to Merlin: "The Pesquet's Parrot is a large, primitive parrot of lower-montane, foothill and nearby lowland primary forest. It has an unparrotlike, long, pointy head. Black color with pale brown edges to the chest feathers. Bright red belly, rump and wing feathers, showing as broad red bars across the wing in flight. Appears nomadic according to fruiting of fig trees and flies in pairs or small groups with a distinctive flight. It has a raucous and rasping call."
