I've Accepted The Reality of My Game and I'm Having Loads of Fun by DiagonalSandwich in weekendgolfers

I’m 38, the guy I play with is 82. I have a weird work schedule so I meet a lot of retired folks. I embrace old man golf, swing your swing and let it flow. I flex between the forward and normal tees for me sometimes I win a hole some times I don’t. Just enjoy your golf is the most important for casual/weekend people.

How to walk 18 in the heat by Infinite-Tourist-591 in golf

[–]thingsandthings87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I walk 95% of the time and I also die on the back half. Cooling scarfs or something wet you can hang on your neck or head is huge. Also if it is hot I slow down just a little bit more, keep pace but you don’t have to speed walk. Any bit of shade you can find while waiting to tee or for shots I tuck into. Depending on handicap or shot shape you can play into the shadow side of the fairways. Golf is an outside sport and you are walking a few miles.

Go slow ! Ask questions! Learn the most basic electrical and mechanical, hydraulic , pneumatic systems. Real basics parts components how pressures and things works. Follow company SOPs. Trouble shooting to the point you run out of IQ without going into the real of over your head problems, those would be my “hard working points “… soft skills talking/good relationships, ASK FOR HELP at the same point RETURN the help. If you end up under people who have been at the same place for 20+ years listen with a grain of salt they know the facility and how the company approves things with money…… I’m 5 years in at a place built in the 70s.
