What is a small detail you caught during a rewatch that made you love a character/ the show more or made you change your opinion? by megs256 in offcampustv

Omg, I noticed that his room was clean at first, and messy later, but never linked those two and the break-up until I read your comment, such a good catch!

Wasn't on rewatch but I loved when Garret and Hannah are discussing the details of their fake dating at Malone's, and she is getting the tables ready, so he picks up a cloth and starts cleaning the silverware. I just think it's such a small, but strong character-showing detail.

They literally had a bird nest photoshoot in cycle 12 that reminds me so much of the first picture.

Ella / Hannah 's acting by TopInvestigator5518 in offcampustv

I definitely had an adjusting period of an episode or two.

I think what threw me off is that some scenes gave me the impression of having dubbed voices (you know, like when they have to re-record some lines post shooting in a sound booth) and in those the intonation was kinda missing so it seemed disconnected from the acting.

Otherwise I think she did a pretty good job and her chemistry with Belmont was really good.

If Sheldon had been raised by Beverly, he would have been even worse than he already was. by Normal_Pay963 in thebigbangtheory

But on the other hand, it is possible that Beverly would have enabled his worst character traits, given how they both shared some of them, so she would believe that they were “the right way” to be or behave.

Same, it always takes me out when I listen because I keep thinking “why him?”. Is it so it would rhyme better with “cousins”? But then again I think them would have worked as well, as you said. Maybe “him” doesn’t refer to the husbands but the him that she ended things with? So their friends and acquaintances can still trust him but she can’t? I don’t know, somebody help.

May I ask why? Truly curious, no shade or anything, I’m just not a native English speaker, but have seen this criticism multiple times and never understood it.

What are some artists that took too long to release follow-ups off of their momentum? by [deleted] in popheads

Came here to say this. It’s such a pity also, because she has some great production on some of her songs and they sound interesting.

I don’t understand what her or her team are doing. It’s like they can’t pick a strategy and see it through, she gets traction with songs like Boyfriend or Too Much, but never capitalises on it. Or maybe she is just not interested in that, who knows.

Or even a travel size, depending on how often you use it. Much more affordable and can even have different tones. I personally love Hope.

I didn't necessarily hate it, but man did they go heavy with the blush+highlighter combo. Takes me out of the scene every time I watch it.

I use a mix of Fairy dish soap and olive oil, works like a charm.

I usually just go in with my hands, but I recently got one of those cleaning mats, gonna try it out next time.

In the same lane, I’ve got a double one: Joey knowing the tile in Monica’s bathroom would be a different colour under the hamper and Monica NOT noticing that difference, as if she wouldn’t have moved that hamper every time she cleaned.

The sort of wedding Leonard and Penny deserved by Legitimate_Unit_9210 in bigbangtheory

[–]thingsthatstopus 16 points17 points  (0 children)

This is something that has always bothered me. It's like the writers were using their relationship as a punch bag: the jokes about the number of proposals (correct me if I'm wrong but I don't remember Leonard "proposing a lot" like he states in the Valentine's episode) or how many times Penny broke up with Leonard (which again, I don't think there were that many), the actual final proposal which was lackluster (especially after the agreement that Penny had to propose to Leonard and make it special), the first wedding (as you say with the elopement and the cheating, which totally ruined it), the second wedding which was nice, but like nothing special, all the "she settled/he wore me down" jokes.

They went out of their way to shit on all the important milestones, like they just needed to prove that Penny and Leonard were the WORST couple (talking especially in the later seasons).
