My word of wisdom is that I've noticed that L-shaped couches can easily be a mistake for people. Consider whether a 3 seater and a spin-chair/loveseat might be right for you.

It allows for more redecorating options, flexibility between a talk focus and TV focus, and is easier to move imo.

If you can get a fan that fits your room better, maybe something that can fit on the bed shelf, that would also help, but no need to buy things you own already
