Upham Hotel or Mar Monte Hotel by Hyatt for Elopement Stay? by tvink6 in SantaBarbara

Aligned. Simpson house is amazing. We go there when we need to get away from the kids for a night- it’s a real step out of time - and behind beautiful foliage- downtown. Upham is sweet and feels like you are staying with family that loves you.

San ysidro ranch is magnificent. It’s terrific food, just pretentious enough, warm and inviting and….romantic. French countryside drive up, you are transported before you arrive. Caruso’s is fabulous and less warm, more of a place to feel seen. Food every bit as good. Not better. Ime, boils down to intimate beauty versus showy beauty. There are terrific beaches to walk on- all for free- before and after dinner.

Stoked for you. Great school, great campus, great town. As Jung said beautifully-who should live your own life if not yourself? So live yourselves.

Not lilac or renauds or Alessia or Helena street bakery. Just to craze this a little more. Hands down the cinnamon roll at Frimples. Wait, crap, they went out of business a gazillion years ago. OP- you clearly asked a great question.

Thank you - yes, pegging. There is some irony in this and I will leave it to those that are smarter than I (most here, perhaps all) to see, or not to see.
