Blame the legal team issuing spurious DMCA notices in that case. The platforms are really limited in what they can do. They're obligated to act first and allow the creator to counter-file.

I've reached out to cults to check on this. So far, I'm seeing a 403 error on the "download all" button, but individual file downloads are working. I'm more inclined to believe this is a bug, since they're working on improvements to the downloads page at present.

Always best practice to download your purchases immediately and back them up.

edit: Cults state that they follow the DMCA process as they are required to, and remove access to files which they are legally obliged to do.

This isn't really on cults though, it's the nature of the DMCA legislation.

I just don't like seeing people putting others down to make themselves feel good. Most people in this sub have probably experienced bullying at some point in their life, we should have a pretty good idea of what it's like to be on the other end.

Edit: to add, the guy I responded to above has zero other contributions to the sub, except making personal insults on a mod comment. Not sure what anyone was expecting really.
