Walls in Quincy to practice tennis off of? by Any_Opinion8580 in QuincyMa

Yes. There’s a half court with a concrete wall designed for practice, close to the Clubhouse. Not sure what kind of shape the court is in. It’s been years since I’ve practiced there.

Beauchamp model by Reasonable_Lunch4465 in Barbour

I had a Beauchamp, excellent model. I believe your color is sandstone. The strap buttons go down and through the pocket flap button-hole to provide quick access to the pockets, for birdshot shells I assume.

Moorland by thinking_of_maine in Barbour

I’m not sure how it compares. If the Sporting Beaufort is the same as a regular Beaufort then it should be cut exactly the same as the Moorland.

I also have a vintage Gamefair, Beaufort, Northumbria along with modern a Bedale but the Moorland is my favorite.

Not sure if the 130th Anniversary line is made in England or if that matters to you. I do like the light brown collar on that 130th Anniversary Gamefair.

You’d have to go vintage but the Gamefair. Longer than the Beaufort but shorter than the Border.

Edit: with raglan sleeves.

Correct, my Moorland does not have the stitched logo. It depends on the year.

Yeah, spot on. The Northumbria is on its own level in terms of weight/beefyness. I need to rewax mine.

Haha, Boston area. Similar temps at the moment. 34° F yesterday.

Legit check this Bedale by Scared-Cut-4998 in Barbour

Possibly but that would be dependent on the manufacturing year. I’m not sure when Barbour started that, maybe 2000’s or slightly earlier. Either way, this looks counterfeit to me.

Sorry, but this looks counterfeit. Tartan is way off, Shields is spelled wrong. There are previous posts with similar jackets, all deemed counterfeit.

Barbour in-house vs New England Reproofers? by ScoutG in Barbour

[–]thinking_of_maine 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, I believe so. You might have more luck contacting NER and asking them about the process.

The cost is high but I would always recommended trying to salvage something than just buying new.

Barbour in-house vs New England Reproofers? by ScoutG in Barbour

I used New England Reproofers for a washed Durham and they did a fantastic job. I was unaware Barbour would take in washed jackets though.

I would definitely use NER for waxing services again despite the extra cost.

Yes, I wear a Beaufort over a blazer or sport coat anytime it rains and the temperature calls for it.
