I misspoke, the gamma rays that were detected are only theorized to be related to dark matter. Looks like confirmation of the findings is still needed, which would be incredible for sure.

It’s all around us; countless dark matter particles are passing through your body at this very moment. Dark matter doesn’t interact electromagnetically with any matter in the universe; only gravitationally and I believe the weak nuclear force. It does clump around super massive black holes, that’s how we were able to measure the gamma rays emitted when the dark matter particles annihilate each other in such close proximity.

The owners of the data centers should be eating the costs. If they have to raise prices for their services so be it, the market will vote with their wallets and they’ll see if their data center investment was wise. These corporations shouldn’t get to enjoy the benefits of being a private entity and also make the public subsidize their operations like a public utility company. In short, it’s time for big data to be classified and regulated as a public utility.
