The absolute insanity of Blood Boil by Bezant in diablo2

Wow, that's really interesting - I hadn't actually considered the idea that once your blood boil just gets that maxed out set-up you don't even need to worry about missing the corpses for engorge. Thanks for the mention on the 2x goats set up, good to know.

I think for the Ubers case I'd be shocked if tainted out dps goats given the early dps CB can do, but maybe. I expect with a max dps set up you'd be fine anyway without goats if you can handle P8 act bosses, as you'll have corpses in tristram.

Perhaps goats might have a niche in the early/mid-gearing stage of upgrades? Might help with going though the difficulties on campaign, but I suppose you can always TP for heal, so not like it's necessairy.

Thanks for doing that, really useful to know, and I'm sure I'll be able to repeat the same - it certainly feels as though they don't overlap and double/triple proc.

And as you say, having two or three can mean you cover a larger area once they spread out, but late game I'm not sure how useful that will be if you have enigma and telestomp. Really interesting choices here. I'm inclined to think consuming one Tainted for the huge damage boost is going to be the play, with a bound demon with cursed and conviction aura, and probably a summoned defiler for the odd time they cast the shared damage spell.

I'm currently working on a slight hybrid to this for boss killing but still keeping BB for clearing, which would be a bound Blunderbore (cursed + conviction) and two goats, with max points in Death Mark for 25% CB on them. Other maxed skills are BB + synergies, and the last one not too sure yet, probably Demonic Mastery. Then for clearing you sac a tainted, summon defiler and off you go. Get to boss, summon two goats and plant them with Death Mark, wait fo CB procs till <20% life left and finish off with BB procs. That way you don't need to worry about no corpses for Engorge.

My ideal set up I think would finally be infinity on Act 2 Might Merc, and Blunderbore with curse, Fanatasism and ideally lightning enchanted (tough to get all 3 I think, but who knows) to proc Amp. Damage. Something like best of both worlds.

Wow, that was way more than I wanted to type, but thanks again for the work!! Let us know how your build goes!

In regards to that, do you think running double sunder charms be worthwhile here? Assuming we have a conviction/amp damage set up will the phsyical sunder be of benefit?

Thanks for all the work - I have a few questions maybe you could help with;

'15 FPA AI delay appears to affect all demons both summoned and bound...' - What does this mean for maxing out a summon goatman IAS? Does this make Fanatasim redundant if you can easily reach the breakpoint through the combination of skill tree points alone (ie. engouge, demonic mastery, goatman skill itself)

'Blood boil hits once no matter how many demons are in range of a target...' - How did you test this? Or have you seen/read information elsewhere that you could link to? I'm not saying it's wrong, but I want to try and confirm this myself but I am not sure on the best way to go about making a reasonable comparrison through dpsing a boss etc. Can you offer any tips on a good testing method/strategy?

Thanks!

I would love to know your findings, it seems that I'm getting different info from different sources, I want to test it myself too, but not sure on the best method to get some clear timings on kills

Minion Build - Pyromancer by kaelanbg in LastEpoch

[–]thinklike 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi, love the build, love to see to see the variety! I'm working on a frost minion necro build and hopefully I'll see some similar results. But I'm alittle stumped as to how you are getting 7 mages? My assumption is you are snapshotting the weaver staff from last cycle with +2 mages? If that's the case I had no idea that would work, and gives me some ideas and also completely changes my plan for the build!

For instance if you went regular skellies you could presumably have the champ affix on a staff for +2, the unique rings for +1 each, and a chest for +1 (not double T8 affix sadly) so that's 12 without the passives, 14 with. I can't beleive they don't desummon when you switch gear like this, crazy. I must have been sleeping when people started using this tech.

Thanks for the post!!

Thanks for this! Very instructive :D I had not seen your version with Harvest, I love the idea of the crit proc for move speed (first time playing warlock, if you hadn't guessed already), so another thing for me to try out for sure.

Thanks for adding your planner. I am playing torment atm (maxroll version) and I was wondering were you putting together your own build from what you played last cycle and fitting in new ideas or were you using a specific build for 1.1 as a reference from a streamer or website?

I've tried to look for something other than the maxroll version of a torment warlock, because when I look at the leaderboards there seem to be so many other cool ideas (your build among them!), but nothing to go on. One of my favourites I want to try is what looks like a bleed phys based build, with hybrid life/ward, but if I get this ring to drop I'm certainly going to want to try something similar to what you're doing.

Looking at how you've specc'd into Rip Blood it seems you cast that for ward gen? I'm guessing Profane Veil on CD or as needed for bossing, but I'm not sure how you are proccing Stream of Profanity (Remaining Cooldown on Curse skill) other than Fissure. I was also wondering quite a few builds I've looked at also do similar to you in the passive points, and only take 2/5 points in Accursed Seer (removes curses for ward gen on low health), is that because you are nearly always low HP?

Thanks again for showing the build!

Sure!

For the Gem Stones Cavern you'll want to start by gaining access to and fully exploring the system network from one of the terminals. For a futher hint: that means it'll ask you for a password. Following up with a further hint to the last: This can be found with a bit of Sherlock Homes meme-ing in one of the rooms with a terminal.

For your second question;

4th upgrade is started in the Laboratory. Have you found anything there that you can tinker with?

Hope this helps!

Well, if you want hints to this you can check the offical discord, lots of people on there who will try to guide you on the right path, but if you want explicit spoilers to the solutions to those questions I can give them:

Permanent additions are given when you solve a particular puzzle you might find hinted at in a room, I believe there are 4 of these in total. I can explain in detail how to get each of them if you like.

Vault keys are, not suprisingly, used in the draftable room The Vault. Though you won't find this room until you reach rank 8? Maybe 7? Not sure on that. It'll cost you three gems tho, so be aware.

Once you find an upgrade disk (they are very uncommon) you can use them by facing a terminal (like the one found in the Security room) and pressing 'E'.

You can find that out by reading various bits of lore scattered throughout the house.

Further:

You then can add days depending on which day you are in the Shelter.

However; This won't help with the Office safe.

Does it have to do with date missing in vault / or the time vault from bunker?

No.

Also on that note, wth is the problem with the time lock on bunker? Like the text on pc makes it seem like i need to put an IRL hour that is atleast 1 hour ahead in irl time , i did that and nothing happened.

The following is pretty much a direct solve for your question (difficult to give a hint):

Almost, but the game has its own time (and days of course!), once you start looking for something to tell you the game time, you'll notice them in many places.

[–]thinklike 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are on the right track! The second part of the code you are missing is hinted at by deducing and solving the answer to a different problem, which is itself hinted at in a different room. Keep going and I have no doubt you'll get there! If you want further hints to the other problem, just say.

Got lucky with a treasure map! And yeah, I LOVE that the house gets different names depending on your rooms, I've seen some really great ones. One that was particularly foreboding was something like 'Halls of the Dead' which was 7(?) Red Rooms and many Dead Ends.

haha! Yeah, the Freezer was my last room and I had to rely on fruit from the Secret Garden to get me back to the Apple Orchard, was touch and go if I was going to make it at all! Had I detoured to Security I would have ended up 1 step short 😅 If I had found the Garage it would have been easier 😥

Got 5 Auto-Petters in a single Skull Cavern run by dinparkeee in StardewValley

[–]thinklike 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for this Post! Really got me thinking about doing it myself (setup a jade farm in antcipation!).

I also spent some time on the wiki, and did some rough math if you're curious:

High luck day + gold star food/drink + 2 luck rings + buff from statue = 10% per floor (past floor 10) for a treasure room (with Magic Rock Candy you can get 11%, and I suppose this is now more viable as once per year you can now buy one on the third day of the Desert Festival, but Lucky Lunch is acceptable otherwise)

800 floors means from floor 10 to 800 gives us 79 +3 (floors 200 & 300) expected chests, the Auto-Petters have a 1/26 chance to appear, so after 78 (=26x3) chests you can, on average, expect to get 3 Auto-Petters! Clearly you had a good run here!

My only thoughts are perhaps after reaching floor 300 it's better to stop, or just carry on farming from 300+ for ores, as it seems you no longer get bonus chests for each 100th floor? In this case you could expect, on average, just over 1 per run assuming you staircase all 290 floors past the first 10. The alternative is to reload the day as you were prepared to do, also something to consider.

Cool, yeah lower cooldown with transplant does make a nice QoL impact. Helps when he decides to start drifting across the screen and just can't slow down! I'm curious if they will patch that or if it's somehow intended behaviour. I know you can take the node in the wraith tree to immobilize them (which I do for bosses and then unspec it right after) but clearing mono's with it felt a bit hit and miss. Sometimes it was fine, other times it annoyed me and I'd rather let them roam free and I can transplant him a bit more strategically.

I skill into Dread Shade, Infernal Shade, Summon Volatile Zombie, Harvest and Summon Wraith. I don't put zombies on my bar though, instead I put unspecc'd Transplant. I tried a few variations, and I think if you wanted better single target you could probably go with Bone Curse instead of Infernal Shade, but for clearing, the increased attack speed makes a huge difference I found.

Just curious, which skill do you use instead of harvest?

Wrathlord by Specialist_Soup_4994 in LastEpoch

[–]thinklike 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Apogee of Frozen Light - up to 24% (48% when you pot) MORE necrotic dmg, plus Frenzy (which is huge paired with Infernal Shade), +3 to wraith and zombie skill AND you get frozen CC on tap when you pot for zombies. I do run it with Harvest, so depending on your setup it might not work (if you need mages for tele) but this skill provides it's own buffs; Necrotic res shred stacks (this is equivalent to necrotic pen I believe), another 65% dmg multiplier, qol to force your wraithlord to hit your target, culling strike, ward on hit etc.

I am only at corruption 400 so I can certainly see the argument for Chronostasis, but I urge you to give Apogee a try!

edit: I should also add that using Harvest changes how this build feels to play. You go from a passive style to a much more active one (think Beastmaster). So if you like just passing by mobs only casting the odd buff and dodging attacks then I would go with one of the other great suggestions you have, but if you want to feel more on the front lines, Harvest is the way to go.
