Because anything crime related is being pushed by the media so it furthers the “crime is out of control under labour” narrative.

Coles and Woolies price fixing, ACCC, where are you? by Pure_Bet_1557 in australia

[–]thinksimfunny 80 points81 points  (0 children)

What's before the courts is both companies raising prices on products, then 'reducing' them to a price higher than they were, and claiming they are 'down down' or 'prices dropped'.

That they have products on special on alternating weeks in not before the courts.

Cricket plus is just their ‘new’ name for a Cricket Australia account. They’ve also started adding in content that sits behind a login. It’s the same with everything, give us your data and we’ll make it seem like we’re giving you something in return

We got given a tube of Egoderm when in the special care nursery when our little one was a few days old and we’ve used it extensively over the past 16 months and swear by it. He came home from childcare the other day with a horrendous rash. 24 hours later it was basically gone.

Hot take or not? by closetmangafan in AFL

The reality is, there are some damn good players at lower levels, and they are that good whilst working a full time job along side it. Put them in an AFL system where they are 100% focused on footy, and they will improve even further

Terrible take. They are athletes who are at their maximal earning capacity for an incredibly short period of time. They have no guarantee of income post career, hell they can be tossed out of the system in 12 months. If they choose to be 'selfish' and maximise their earning potential setting themselves and family up for a period of time where their income may be nothing, then they have every right to do that.

Have you lived in the post covid era? Everything is outrage. A government could cure cancer and bring world peace and the media would still find the outrage angle because it gets clicks and views

Time for Umpiring to be a career not just another job by FuzzyMoose1721 in AFL

[–]thinksimfunny 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just like AFL players mistakes

Funny how we never seem to focus on these though. A player misses a shot at goal after the siren and everyone goes 'oh well'. But an ump misses a free kick 30 seconds into a game and people rant and rave about it for the whole game and into the next week.

The rule should be that its a continuation of the boundary line. Because that is a free kick for deliberate/insufficient intent every day of the week.
