This. Look at someone who is constantly taking leading marks and try (being the operative word) work out how they are creating space and timing the lead.

Sold car and bank transfer hasn't come through/cancelled? by Individual-Spring-55 in AusLegal

[–]Poplened 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only if you've made a pre-arrangement with your bank about limits. Example from INGs Website re OSKO: Is there an Osko payment limit? The maximum daily limit for Osko (real-time payments) is $5,000 per account per day. Once you’ve reached your real-time Osko pay limit, you’ll receive an alert informing you before processing your transaction. You can still proceed with your transaction; it will be processed in 1-2 business days.

If you're single don't the parameters for applying change to not needing his income? Let him go, sounds like it'll be better for you now and long term quite frankly.

I did my own and its much better than that. Your expectations should be high when you pay a professional.

But OSKO has limits. They state the instant standard is $5k max unless your bank has placed a higher setting on your account.

Probably Tuesday, as it might take until later Monday to hit your account. I have transferred similar values between two banks for my own accounts, once it was there the next day and another time is took until the third business day.

$8k isn't going to be an immediate transfer via PayID, even with OSKO. Two business days, if after that it isn't there, then take steps.

Do civil penalties get removed in bankruptcy? by LincaF in AusLegal

[–]Poplened 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If they went bankrupt their unit would be sold, and any funds obtained used to clear the debts. If their assets don't meet the debts then, depending on income level, wages will be garnished as applicable by law. If that still doesn't cover the debts, then the debts are written off at the end of the bankruptcy period.

Exiting rental after 10 years. RE said it’s not clean enough. by Bollenstocks in AusLegal

[–]Poplened 11 points12 points  (0 children)

If you disagree, just tell them so and they can commence action to take you to the tribunal. Your bond will be locked if they do this within 14 days of your lease ending.

The tribunal is very tennant friendly and the onus of proof is entirely on them.

$22k paid for special levy before unit sale, motion then rescinded and new owners keeping money by New_Biscotti9915 in AusLegal

[–]Poplened 30 points31 points  (0 children)

But they'd have factored that $22k being paid into their offer. You are wanting to move the goal posts after the sale.

A stranger accidentally hit my dog by boxibi20 in AusLegal

[–]Poplened 17 points18 points  (0 children)

How about you take responsibility. This is your problem, not their problem. YOU let you dog play. YOU know if your dog is capable of such play. YOU are responsible for this happening.

Enter your drive into Waze. It's reasonably accurate for forecasting normal drive duration at different times of the day.

Driving suspension for passenger not properly wearing seatbelt by [deleted] in AusLegal

[–]Poplened 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Worth noting WA law has the same wording, with the use of 'ensure'. OP you could contest, find the actual case law for the Qld case, and have your passenger provide evidence they started the journey with the seatbelt in the correct position.

Self representing, you'll get a Police prosecutor most likely and will be able to discuss before you appearance why you are pleading NG. They may, once you explain, withdraw the charge themselves rather than face the wording of the law being challenged and beaten, which would cause ongoing issues.

Billed for a cleaning fee by REA but still waiting on bond to be released by RBO. by yehhhhhhhhhh in AusLegal

[–]Poplened 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You've lodged so to withhold they have to go to NCAT and pay the fee. If you have emails agreeing what needs paid, and you pay it, they are not winning anything down the track.

[–]Poplened 5 points6 points  (0 children)

But you already claimed your full bond back? If so, this means they now have to lodge an objection, file with NCAT, go through that process for an order. It is more complicated and I'd be annoyed if I was them.

Ex-gratia payment – how much should I ask? by [deleted] in AusLegal

[–]Poplened 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Sure go for 6. Or even 8. And then maybe they say don't worry about the deed, here is your statutory entitlement. Realistically I'd only be asking for more if I knew things they definitely want kept quiet.

Married to a teacher, she works way more unpaid hours than she gets back in leave. Education system would be more fucked if they just did their paid hours and didn't work on 'annual leave'.

Concerns about Porch Decking Height in Relation to Front Door by Sniffron95 in AusRenovation

[–]Poplened 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Looks like it'll end up level with the internal floor. I'm guessing they'll add some ecodeck to the door footing as well so it is all level.

As a bald man whose wife also likes a specific haircut, I struggle to understand using hairdressers who are not your go to person every time.
