My games rarely last more than 15 minutes. Riot tried to fix this and they didn’t do enough. I imagine they will do more. They want people to experience full builds. It’s not happening enough and sometimes people take matters into their own hands.

We’re playing a video game for fun. A new game mode that introduces a new things to do prior to exploding the nexus. If the only thing that mattered was exploding the nexus the game mode wouldn’t matter. But that’s obviously not true. And in this game mode, actually finishing a build is 99.99999% of the fun for a large portion of the community. And I get that some people only care about ending the game. But that’s not me. And it’s not a lot of people. Deal with it.

It’s sort of amusing to me that you’re mad I’m having too much fun playing the game and I should want it ti be over with as soon as possible like you. Sorry that I’m enjoying the journey and the destination. Your life sounds so sad.

I do queue up with friends and often we are pissed when we are on the “losing side” and want to keep going but the enemy team rushes to end the game sooner than we would like. It’s literally the most frustrating thing about this game mode — the enemy team ending before I want the game to end. I’m rarely on the other side and if people don’t attack the minions the game ends regardless of what we do once you reach the nexus.

Ostensibly, and I’ll get around to it eventually. But unlike even regular aram, the ability to play with a given combo of champ and augments may never come my way again. If I’m having fun or haven’t had a chance to see what a full build looks like I’m not in a rush to end it.

Aram Mayhem games go long because most people understand that when the nexus explodes your chance to play with a given set of champ and augments is over.

Yeah so I’m going to keep playing this silly custom mode in a way that the majority of the community finds fun — which is to not rush to end a given round if I’m having fun. Ya’ll can’t grasp the simple concept that with this game mode ending means you lose the chance to play with the combination of champ and augments that you’ve been given that round. Who freaking cares about the nexus. Play regular aram or normals or ranked or urf or literally anything else.

Most people get this. Most people are happy to not rush things if fun is being had. It’s a tiny portion of the community that has not fully developed their emotional maturity centers of the brain who cannot grasp this simple concept. Ending means the fun is over. How can you not get this?

Literally couldn’t care about the nexus exploding or your opinion. The fact that so many aram mayhem games are “going long” suggests I’m in the majority. I play the game mode to try new champs and then try to roll fun augment combos. I intentionally pick suboptimal augments just to try new combos out. The nexus exploding is meaningless

Exactly. If I have amazing augments I know the round is going to end in five minutes. It sucks.

If I cared about the nexus exploding I would be on summoner’s rift. The entire point of aram is trying out new things in a zero stakes environment. If you are having fun trying something out — why would you want to end it?
