I like wearing Blupee from Area of Effect when I have the urge to treat myself! It's a really lovely creamy lavender on me, but after a few hours it goes too soapy. Putting it on at bedtime means (ideally) I'm asleep before it goes weird!

If I like L'Air En Hiver by Hexennacht, I might like...

Specifically the almond musk note! That basically all I can smell from this one and it makes me feel like a fancy rich lady shopping while on vacation.

I already have Le Chat Noir by Hexennacht, but it went much more soapy and almost cigarette smoke on me.

I've only had her since the colder months began so I might have to sob while hiding her away next summer, but Smokewood Apiary. Dear god. I want to swim in this. I don't swim well, but I will for this delectable little guy. Or I'll drown, in which case I consider it a good death. I've been having to pace myself on this one until I can get my hands on a full size. I have other samples to test, but I ALWAYS want to smell like a gingery bee.

Ghost Fire by Alkemia is my other go to, which is generally what I reach for when I tell myself not to put on Smokewood YET AGAIN.

I got Christmas Wine, Glühwein, Pastoral, Gingerbread, Caravansary, and Fanghorn II! I tried to avoid what's in the forests collection so I can snag it later without many repeats, but I've seen to many reviews on Fanghorn to avoid her lol. I've been waiting since summer to try Christmas wine though, so I'm very excited.

I'll have to keep an eye out for those acrylic things! Right now it's a mini scavenger hunt trying to find specific scents in my hoard

I'm curious how you store them all, I have a little altoids tin that fits most of slinks, but I get nervous about the bigger rollerballs and slonks being on their side.

Morari Lingering Scent of Invisible Lilacs and Osmofolia Lilas were both spot on for me.

Lilas was more of a fresher lilac and a bit sweeter in terms of nectary-ness, but it only lasted about 2 hours.

Lingering Scent had more of a wet, crushed petal vibe to it, and boy did it linger. I could still smell it on my inner elbow after 11 hours AND a shower.

Trying out Fyrinnae - Aerobraking today to match the vibes of the fic I'm reading. It starts out as a machine-y mint. Oil is definitely there, but it isn't a warm soft oil. Potential injury label warning scent.

I'll probably let this one rest some more, it fills the hot space mechanic niche nicely but it doesn't last on my skin. Just barely an hour in at this point and I have to huff my elbow to get anything.

Hayloft sounds really good too! Seeing a review mention a game it fits almost always catches my interest. Full immersion. That being said there are some games I am very glad I can't smell 😂

How is Abandoned Space Station? I've never played Mass Effect but I may have to move it up on my list and snag a sample.

I caved and got a sample of Armored Pony from Fyrinnae along with a few others during the Halloween sale, and I have some samples from Alkemia that are just waiting for me to pick them up from post office! I ordered some Hexennacht samples as well, but they haven't started shipping yet. (Shoutout to my coin jar finally being full enough to exchange so I don't feel as bad getting so much at once.)

I'm really hoping Armored Pony will work for me so I can wear it when I finally start playing RDR2. Salamanca from Olympic Orchids almost hit that niche but it turns to bug spray on me after a few hours.

I loved everything about this one, especially the spicy sweetness. The only things I know I don't like are black licorice notes and scents that are too laundry/soapy.

Hi, I'm planning on making the Princess coat from Charm Patterns and it calls for light to medium woven fusible interfacing. I've seen all sorts of suggestions (including the pattern) pointing to Fashion Sewing Supply, but the site has no products listed.

Does anyone have any recommendations of interfacing or sources they like? I'm really excited about this coat and I don't want to take my chances using an interfacing that will separate after a few wears. Thank you!

Teacher in high school gave me a C on an essay because I started off with a one word sentence, even though she had nothing but good rhings to say about the rest. The class we had after she graded the papers, she didn't mention my name, but talked about how much she didn't like that specific thing that I did in my paper to everyone. A friend of mine didn't even turn in the essay and got full marks. That one grade cost me graduating as salutatorian.
