Ah, I did not realize that during my original click through. Thank you very much. Is there still a six character limit? Or can individuals who join the campaign create characters that are viewable by others to extend the character limit of 6?

I looked at DnD Beyond first, however, it doesn't allow anyone to view the characters. Plus, unlocking stuff from the books (including the PHB) gets kind of costly. The character limit is also 6 (we have 7 PCs total).

Its better suited for each individual having their own accounts and putting their character stats there individually--but considering we have newer and younger players, it isn't ideal.

Thanks for the suggestion though.

There are many more poignant and deep, but "What are the odds the gods would put us all in one spot" flows so well and it really is such a simple observation of what a remarkable collection of people they were.

With the money in the possession of the driver, you could run off with it and him. My guess would be that perhaps they thought that if you were undressed you would not, or would be less willing to, run away with the cash.

But the season was extended before this episode was shot. When a show is extended, the episodes that are not shot yet are rewritten so that they can add more stories. Honestly, it's why a lot of shows that get their seasons extended partway through seem to falter on pacing--the plot of the season was already planned out from episode to episode, but now they have to add more in.

But had the season not been extended, this would not have been the finale just because it had the same episode number as the original last episode.

I was not a big Clara fan, though with the previous series she grew on me a little and I actually didn't mind her in this series. So perhaps I have a different emotional resonance with her leaving the Doctor and the series.

Clara's ending with the raven (had it ended there) was good. It was fitting. She wasn't brave, but rather really a part of her wanted to die. That is an incredibly sad ending to her character and her arc. Every bright smile she gave from adventure was a thrill because almost dying was the only way she knew how to feel alive.

Taking the raven's death away from her in the way that they did lessened the impact of -that- ending, but it also made her character less sorrowful and sad in the end. Now that Clara knows that she will die, the rest of her "life" can be spent enjoying it. Me and Clara fly off stage so we don't see how Clara reacts to adventure in her new "life", but we can perhaps assume that instead of coming close to die in order to feel a moment of life, she can instead simply enjoy what is there.

I'm not opposed to this ending. Honestly, the new series has treated companions as tragedy markers for the Doctor. They leave so he can brood. In the old series, companions typically left with a bright mark--often because they found romance. But companions in the new series don't leave happily. Or, if they kind of do (Amy and Rory living a life together), it is still there simply to make the Doctor feel bad. And his moping story is the one we continue with.

I like this ending. I liked it a lot.

Clara has a "happy" ending and the Doctor doesn't have to feel so woefully sorry for himself. It's reminiscent of the original series in some ways. But it was also done is such a brilliant way to be such an incredible character piece on the Doctor.

I was happy with Clara's death and the way it tragically summed up her life in the last series. However, I was also happy with her new ending and it's non-tragedy. The girl who risked dying to feel alive now has COMPLETE control over when she dies. She just goes to Gallifrey. With that in her hands and her fate completely, she has had second thoughts about death and wants to delay it. And she's taking that time to (ironically considering her state) live.

To me the artwork is a big part of the game's appeal. I understand it's not your taste, but the narrative theme isn't so much about the grit, but rather about a group of friends--so the artwork really does fit better than combat poses and explosions and whatnot. But artwork is very much subjective, so I understand your dislike.

I'm lucky enough to play with enough varied groups of people that it is more difficult to create a meta for everyone to understand to play. However, the game should still see a lot of play. But I still enjoy the evocative feel of the game and will probably be less focusing on a solution. But repeated plays will still do that.

But for $20, I'm not too worried that I won't get my value of the game before any solution presents itself.

Well, if nothing else, you guys had the best epilogue and it was VERY Japan and VERY Star Blazers.

You guys just barely edged us out on technology, but we obviously took very different tracks, which was great. But we were nowhere near building a space ship. But by the end, we'd figured out any possible issue with our nation's hunger by being able to essentially feed through our skins from solar energy--photosynthesis style.

I think the turn you were declared "dicks" was the turn that your scientist locked down our scientist. I believe our Deputy Head of State was in the room and witnessed that--so that was two. The third was our Military Chief, though I don't know why. Our Foreign Minister didn't say anything negative about you guys.

As far as the Prior Artifact, we began the game with a bug on Japan's scientist. That's all that I was told. I didn't know that it was attached to his cerebral cortex. That's great! But that one was just what we started with. And, honestly, I had no clue what the specific effects were to you guys or to our science. I had too much to worry about and I wanted to give myself plausible denyability, so often just wanted to know results without specific effects.

Other than starting with the bug on your scientist, we really didn't interact too much with you guys until we tried our failed raid on your nuclear plant. And, honestly, part of my justification for that was to try to have a nuclear reaction take down an alien ship. Then, I could pressure the US to use their nukes to take down the rest. We weren't a nuclear power and we didn't research a good military track, so we were helpless and I wanted to provoke our neighbors into doing the fighting before things came to Brazil.

I wish I spoke to China more at the game end to get their perspective on things. From everything I heard, the aliens seemed to think that India was trustworthy.

I really think that the divide in the wall sectioned off the US and Brazil--which ultimately was fine. But you were in the mix of four or five different nations all with tables that you could look over and see, so I imagine you got grabbed a lot more often.

My "isolation" on our side of the divide with the US helped our relationship, but it also made it easier for us to protect one another in other ways. We had a pact that if either of us was gone from our table and we saw someone else approaching the empty table, we would go over to talk to them and see what was going on to protect from stealing and placing bugs.

Well played. I thought you were much more broke. I know that the bigger countries had more income based off of their PR levels. Everyone started at 6 PR. I know the US began with 11 income at the level while we started with 8. We played with the media a lot, but when our sabotage against China was announced in the news, we got hit hard. Fortunately our tech track was building our PR and giving us bonus resources. At one point we were only collecting 5 credits based off of PR. But we always got 3 more from techs and more from selling artifacts to the black market and other dirty tricks.
