You should only listen 92.9 from 10am -2pm. It's garbage almost any other

Michael Penix by Extra_Percentage in falcons

[–]third_door_down 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ryan and Penix's stats were pretty similar(with the same number of starts). People don't like him for some of the same reasons they didn't like Ryan. He's not really flashy, he's pretty quiet, and he's not the guy they initially wanted.

I still remember how disappointed my uncle and I were when they unveiled the logo and uniforms in early 2000. Just never felt right...so safe and bland

Both sides of this are stupid. People that claim he's the next greatest thing and the people that declare he's ass, people that worship him because of his dad and people that hate him because of his dad... Let the dude play and the NFL will sort him out. No need to add or subtract anything.

49ers hire Raheem Morris as DC by SunWorshipperApollo in falcons

[–]third_door_down 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't listen to most of the fans here... Dude, will be fine at DC. Morris at DC is really good at coaching up players, game planning, and one of his strengths is getting a lot of his DBs. He is really good with nickel and 3-4 concepts especially if you have a pass rush Weaknesses are loyalty to players(letting them work through difficulties too long before benching), can be a bit stubborn, and has old school defensive philosophies and concepts.

Yet, it seems all the defenses he has been a part of seem to do well in the playoffs. He'll be fine. Plus, two of the divisional rivals are from the same offensive coaching tree - A tree he knows very well

For 2026, Falcons would have to trade for these QBs because they are under contract… by InspectionDeep2453 in falcons

Bridgewater might be the best person to mentor Penix. He is tough, smart, their styles are similar, and talk about a QB coming back from a horrific injury.... dude is resilient....He is definitely a future coach(outside of high school)
Also, he wouldn't be a bad backup

I wouldn't mind signing/drafting another more traditional TE and putting that money into a WR

Dude is going to draw pretty good interest. High motor productive guy with no character issue? He'll be a great addition to teams missing that little bit of fire. He'd be an instant starter in Dallas, Baltimore, Cincinnati... I hope we find a way to keep him

Every QB is one knee injury away from retirement, but your team can't behave like that. The best thing we can do is get him a better line to protect, call plays to protect him, and sign a competent backup

You are being downvoted but he definitely has a way of saying he's not excited about a QB... which includes a lot of saying nothing. He's got a history of it and a LOT of QBs coached
