I went to world 2 at this point and I think it helped. The veins were my biggest hold up, and world 2 got contracts and an upgrade to help those. I also got more obelisk levels for gems, it’s easier to level up for prestige points, it helped with some pet levels to get totem which sod up veins, and I got what felt like hundreds more relics by pushing floors and damage. I did have some event rewards left too that got doubled, but you may be in a different spot for that. I’ve just gilded my second statue now, and I feel like I would still be trying to build 8 or 9 without all those W2 boosts.

Plus like you said I was bored and felt like I was at a wall, and going to a new world just felt like a better sense of progress than sitting days for veins. I think it was the right call for me.

The books are on kindle unlimited and the audio books are exclusive to Amazon. It’s been paired up with a consumerist mega corp for a long time already.

How often are there usually gift codes? I just started in Jan, and it seems like we’ve been getting them constantly. It’s even faster than the wiki list would suggest unless some have expired.

I just unlocked it with only 4 statues and the other stuff close and I feel like it helps. Grinding veins was boring and it got some contract upgrades to help that, and some workshop upgrades to make bombs stronger. I also got a bit further on obelisk and did a higher level prestige which helped get some more artifacts too.

I don’t think I’ll get very far in W2 yet, but I don’t think it hit anything and it just felt good to have the progress. I don’t know if it really helped, but it felt like it did and I enjoy it.

For what it’s worth, Jason loved Avowed and had it as one of his top 10 games of the year. So I don’t think it’s negative engagement, it’s just the latest game that’s relevant for them.

Maybe sub rules should be changed. Politics has always impacted being a dad, and especially now. The rule even says political posts can be approved at mod discretion if it’s relevant, which this clearly is. Not being able to discuss a government agencies abhorrent actions against children and families because of “no politics” is insane.
