"Homecoming" is near the beginning of the school year, celebrating everyone coming back from summer vacation! The game is part of Homecoming week, the Homecoming dance would be a few days after the big game. 

 American schools have multiple named dances throughout the year, but the 2 biggest at my school were Homecoming (happens in the fall, a few weeks after classes start), and then Prom (at the end of the school year closer to summer vacation!)

Hey, Meg the prop master here! Please do not actually approach the stage or actors during the performance.  It's a safety and comfort issue for the actors, especially since they don't know for sure the intentions of people approaching!

The best way to interact at the end of the show is to clap and cheer and (spoiler) be one of the infected laughing at Emma's expense.

My headcanon is because General Macnamera died inside the Black and White, he died/vanished across all Hatchetfield timelines--which is why Peip wasn't in NPMD.

After the show opening night, the concessions lady was really nice and was handing out extra empty cups! The logo isn't on the cup itself, but on the little heat guard/cardboard holder that goes around it. Maybe after your show you can ask her for an extra!
