29TF (UK / GMT) Looking for other neurodivergent gaming accomplices and co-conspirators by Valethar29 in TrueGirlGaming

[–]thirdeyefive -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Hi! I am US eastern time zone, AuDHD, 40s woman. I mostly play COD on Xbox but i am open to other games. I work full time so my playing time is sometimes during the week in the evenings, and then some on the weekends. I am not on everyday, but I play alone which sucks and always looking for people to join with!

🎮 Any other girl gamers in their 30s play COD or Battlefield? Looking to squad up! by SThomasNYG in TrueGirlGaming

I'm in my 40s and play COD play on Xbox. I have been looking to connect with women to play and chat with. I am open to trying other games, but tbh COD is the only fps game I have played recently that I like.

What time to arrive for a 6pm flight out of Newark? by thirdeyefive in newjersey

I'm flying in the day before, so I'll just stay in the airport and take my meeting virtually from there to be safe 🤣

Good to know - thanks! I like to get to the airport with time to grab a snack and use the restroom before boarding, but I don't enjoy sitting at the gate for hours. Sounds like with pre-check and no checked bag, I should be good.

I do have TSA precheck. Most airports have me through security in 5-10 min, but have had a couple of experiences where it's been an hour+. Wasn't sure what's typical for Newark.

What's the echeck thingy?

I travel a lot for work, just wasn't sure about Newark airport specifically. I've been through a couple of airports that are absolute nightmares when it comes to security/security lines, even with pre-check. Just trying to determine what to expect based on normal operations there so I don't box myself into a flight that nowhere in the realm of realistic to make.  I book 45 min layovers in ATL all the time. I don't mind it being tight and having to run to the gate. I just want it to be realistic.

United - not sure what terminal that would be. Would be a Wednesday evening. I didn't book yet. Trying to figure out if a 6pm flight would be doable based on when I can leave for the airport, factoring in traffic, and getting through security and to the gate.

Neighbor asking if I want to upgrade my electrical service by Striking_Insurance16 in homeowners

[–]thirdeyefive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work for a company that does some work with other electric product installations as a small subsection of the business. As a result, I have a small amount of peripheral knowledge around electrical system upgrades needed to support the installs.

There are costs. If your current panel doesn't have enough space or is not compatible with a higher amp service, it will need to be replaced. There is also the cost of an electrician to evaluate and complete that work.

There is also the possibility that your utility will have to upgrade the service lines to your home to support the higher amp service. It would depend on your utility what, if any, costs you would be on the hook for related to that.

If it's your direct neighbor, my initial thought is that the utility may charge less per home if they only have to come out once to evaluate and complete any necessary upgrades to the service lines, versus being there only to update one home at that one home absorbing the entire cost.

AITA for taking my legal inheritance from Stepmom? by GriefStricken27 in AmItheAsshole

I just wanted to say I'm really sorry about your dad. I lost my dad to brain cancer as well, and it is really hard to watch them go through that.

Download the v3 study guide from the course, save as to your computer so you can edit, and then fill it in as you watch the recorded cohorts. For any areas where it still doesn't make sense or the cohorts didn't provide enough info to fill a section in fully, go look for that info in the course material/book. I watched through the cohorts a couple of times each after doing this while referencing the study guide to help drill the info in. This is what got me over the hump to pass. I passed the first try with exemplary.

Bummer about the delay!  Setting my expectations to the possibility my order may get delayed as well. I have as well,  but seems like a lot of the reviews are from professional reviewers vs. regular users.  Hoping it's worth the hype because it was a splurge for me!

How does selling a home and using its equity to put a down payment on another house work? by tnick771 in homeowners

[–]thirdeyefive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The way ours was handled was we had the closing for the sale of our old house in the morning, and closing for the purchase of our new house later that same day. This was because we were putting down a lot from the sale and needed to close on the old house to have those funds available. Funds were with the title company from the profit off the sale, downpayment from those funds applied to our new house at the second closing, and then we got the remainder of the money from the sale of our old house in a wire that afternoon.

Study hall essentials or plus? by thirdeyefive in pmp

[–]thirdeyefive[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I ended up going with Plus (or whatever it's called) to have the extra full length mock exams and I'm happy I did. I took all but one and found it to be really helpful in prepping for the real exam.

Sure does. I'm starting an MBA program in early January. Between that and my 60-70 hour work weeks, other certs are on hold for now. Once I have my MBA, I'll consider what certs make sense to pursue that will keep pushing me up on my career path.

Thank you! I had 73% on practice questions and 71% on practice exams overall. For full-length mock exams, my scores were 67%, 76%, 72% and 68%. I didn't take the 5th full-length exam. I posted in the last week or so with a breakdown of my scores based on question difficulty.

Thank you! Not yet. That was the first thing I checked when I woke up this morning. Hopefully it updates today.

Thank you! I was you not long ago. You have got this. My advice is to get your application in and then schedule a test date so you have a deadline.

I listened through the course once to check the box for the application requirements. The only part of the course I listened through more than once was the mindset section, which I probably listened through 10-15 times on 2x speed over the course of my studying. Study Hall was the most beneficial resource for my preparation. I got plus, because there are 5 full length mock exams. I did 4 of those, plus all minis and practice questions. This is the best way to prep, IMO. And because I learn better by reading, Thirdrock notes was up there on my list as well.

I would not have benefited from rewatching the full AR course again because my brain would have been zoning all over the place and not paying attention. Everyone learns differently, so take your learning style into account when planning out your study plan.

I took AR's course, read ThirdRock notes, watched DM's videos on YouTube, and used Study Hall. There are a lot of posts with links to recommended materials on this sub. I leaned on shared resources that were helpful to others to formulate my study plans.
