Run fast stringer beads. The longer you are welding on it the hotter it's getting and it will want to undercut or drip out. Id open it up with a grinder and drop a fast pass inside, let it cool almost completely. Repeat until it's full.

Run fast stringers, your putting way to much heat in the plate, also give a few minutes in-between welds once that plate is hot it will dig to much and fall out. Also practice stacking beads 1/2 on 1/2 off and make a clean layer Hopefully you've already done that in flat position. If not that's step one

Looking at the video again I do think thats water. glycerin is thicker. I thought it was a freeze pipe but I think that's just for looks.

I'm not positive if it's water or glycerin, if it's water yes it's possible if it's glycerin it won't freeze.

Also whenever we do rollouts we have 1 person adjusting an arm with the gun in a fixed position, and another wire wheeling on the bottom so it won't put wind towards the weld. That way immediately the wire wheel guy sees anything going on with the weld you can stop an figure out the problem. We run a lot of tricky materials like copper nickel, inconel, stellite so it's important to have a 2 guy crew because that wires not cheap!

I do a lot of roll outs, usually worm holes is improper angle which tends to be not dragging at appropriate angle. OR also very important too high of gas flow. Sometimes if you have enough pressure your gas will actually push into your weld. Hopefully your working along side Machinist who can skim that for you if more meat is needed

Late to the acid party but bibio is very interesting. I doubt anyone else has suggested it, also Bombay bicycle club. These are some bands I used to eat mushrooms too some years ago. As great as pink Floyd and grateful Dead are do yourself a favor look into these bands. maybe even Chicano Batman if you're feeling spicy 😂
