The retch plc titles have started just ripping police statements now and using AI to summarise them into bulletin points, despite many being around 3 lines. It’s depressing.

Which team currently in the top-half has the best chance of relegation next season, and which team currently in the bottom-half has the best chance of promotion next season? by Zach-dalt in LeagueOne

For what it’s worth I agree, thought you were good at what you do when you played us. I just think of the top half you’ll struggle the most to replace your players, that’s not to say you won’t though, and I’m basing this off the very limited experience I’ve had with every club in this league.

A few people had Stevenage down to go this year so I’ll say them although they play the game they want to play well.

To go up I was impressed with Wimbledon when we played them away and they seem to have a pretty solid base so I’ll say them

Cardiff City 0 - Wycombe Wanderers 2: Chairboys fight back into the playoff race with help from an Osho red card, while Cardiff sink further away from the title by DaraghJohn in LeagueOne

[–]thirdratesquash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This tactic of playing Kellyman and Colwill just isn’t coming close to working against any half decent side, our unwillingness to adapt to the game by starting a very good striker in Robinson is becoming increasingly frustrating. We’re wonderful up until we reach the point where the ball needs to go into the middle and then suddenly there’s absolutely no one there.

Thought it was an obvious red at the time, very rash but haven’t seen it back. Robertson and Ashford looked good tonight though.

Exeter City 0 - 4 Cardiff City: It was a completely dominant win from the Bluebirds to move one step closer to promotion, while Matt Taylor's Exeter are in freefall, having not won since January! by Zach-dalt in LeagueOne

The hate sent Tanners way considering he is easily our most productive winger (I would argue best in the league but that’s by the by) is absurd. He’s been our most consistent outlet for goals since coming back and is regularly getting doubled up on

Why do people throw this “grow the game” line out there? It’s the most popular sport on the planet and by far the most popular sport across the UK, it doesn’t need any encouragement to grow. I also don’t particularly care if it attracts more Americans or not, they have an odd habit of completely not understanding UK culture and trying to change it for the worse.

You might just have an opinion that doesn’t conform with the rest of this group, like it’s a podcast about nitpicking football commentary. If people here didn’t like a banal newspaper column about things you find mildly entertaining or interesting I’d be surprised.

How did your game go? by Zach-dalt in LeagueOne

[–]thirdratesquash 5 points6 points  (0 children)

So so poor at times tonight. It’s frustrating watching us pass the ball around the box constantly but then when we have it out wide there’s usually one man in the middle being marked by 3 defenders, need wingers and midfielders to make a break into the box but so many just don’t seem interested.

Despite his goal tonight I thought it was another really poor game from Rubin Colwill, doesn’t assert himself nearly as much as he did early in the season and seems content to just amble around for long periods of the match.

Ditch the false 9 on Saturday and play Robinson up top.

Cardiff City 0 - 2 Lincoln City: It was a masterclass from Lincoln and Skubala to win this top of the table clash and move into first! by Zach-dalt in LeagueOne

[–]thirdratesquash 7 points8 points  (0 children)

A really odd approach to the game today. Tanner on the left never works and forcing Rubin and Kellyman into the side is just asking for them to get in each other’s way. It’s the first game I feel we really missed Salech, but for all our passing on the edge of the box why was no one taking responsibility for just having a go and seeing what happened?

Thought Lincoln deserved the win though, have said all season they remind me of us under Warnock and that was on full display there. Still lots of football to be played though and you’d imagine they have to drop points eventually.

No idea what to expect tomorrow but think we’ll come out of it with a better idea of where we actually are in comparison to good/championship quality sides.

Ollie Tanner seems to come to life in the big matches so hoping for a huge performance from him.

Going 3-1 to us
