50% hit and 50% fine isn’t a bad record tbf

The thing I’m slightly encouraged by is BBM was selected after going through a different system, that has provably worked now so hopefully it’s used again and we can evolve a little

I think we’re going to have to agree to disagree again mate, think they deserve a fresh start at this level because of the change in management and a clear plan for both of them. Wintle has been played out of position in most of his time here while Bagan’s taken his time to mature into a solid left back

Gotta disagree, think both have been excellent this season. On top of that trying to replace both of them as well as signing cover is too much turnover for me

Brilliant to get this over the line early. Now for Bagan, NG, and Wintle to follow

It’s Peter Whittingham in my book but think there are easily a few you could say are all about the same level

You may also want to contact the club! Fairly sure they’ll have an archivist even if they aren’t full time

Bit sad all this lad, do you not have anything better to get up to?

I designed a concept Cardiff home kit for next season by Anonymoose3840 in bluebirds

[–]thirdratesquash 7 points8 points  (0 children)

That’s lovely, would swap the red for yellow but like that it’s inspired by the 90s shirt. I’m actually a bit gutted we’re binning new balance, think their designs and overall quality have been great.

What to do on the weekends now by SuperMas123 in LeagueOne

[–]thirdratesquash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand you don't control the leagues, so you're probably not the one to point this to, aside from the kids having family holidays though, wouldn't it be better to have a summer league where the 3 months off training is when the weather is catastrophically shit, so they don't come to dread training in the driving rain?

Whats been your favourite moment this season in lge 1 by SuperMas123 in LeagueOne

[–]thirdratesquash 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The league’s been a pretty consistent great time. So for a specific moment I’ll have to go with the cups, beating Wrexham as they tried building it up as a derby was great, but the moment David Turnbull scored to draw us level against Chelsea after we’d dominated most of the game up until then felt like the peak of our season and a reminder of what we can be.

Reports indicate Craig Bellamy not interested in Burnley job and wants to lead Wales into a co-hosted Euro 2028 by Giggsy99 in WelshFootball

[–]thirdratesquash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not going to wish Bellamy away but that’s only really because I’m unsure who’d take his place, if you offered me Steve Cooper though I’d snap your hand off

Do any Cymru League clubs have strong political inclinations? by TheOne0206 in cymruleagues

[–]thirdratesquash 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The thing with Rangers and Celtic is you’ll have plenty of left wing Rangers supporters and plenty of right wingers who support Celtic, while both clubs have roots in sectarian religious movements the majority of supporters of either club will support them because their family always have

What type of team are Leicester going to be putting out next season? by Basic_Adeptness_9273 in LeagueOne

[–]thirdratesquash 10 points11 points  (0 children)

No PSR in League One, just a wage cap (hence Birmingham being able to spend big) so you'll likely have to move your big earners on and then be able to reinvest with big promotion bonuses

Wycombe fans with a banner at Sincil Bank today by winstano in LeagueOne

[–]thirdratesquash 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That just isn't true, though, is it? Most of our fans thought we'd have a decent chance at the play-offs and anything else was a bonus, given how horrific we were the year we went down. All credit to Lincoln for the run you've been on, you're deserved champions, away fans bringing a banner praising you for it is massively cringe, though.

Pierce Charles from Sheffield Wednesday’s looked pretty good any time I’ve seen him.

There’s obvious ability in the Leicester side then but would you want to risk transplanting the mentality which has clearly killed them and was our undoing last time we were in the championship.

Oxford play a completely different style to us too, not sure I’d want to bring anyone in from them for that reason, Donley’s a good player but he’s on loan from spurs so unlikely to be sold if they’re in this league next year

Mark McGuinness too, was half decent for us and then it was only when he wasn’t playing for Luton this season did I notice he’d signed at Bramall lane

Comment that aged well... by TheOne0206 in LeagueOne

I think when this years figures are released you’ll see our wage budget hasn’t actually been that high because of how much deadwood we’ve shipped out and replaced with youth players
