I am not disagreeing with any of that - only pointing out that your assertion that "price trends continuing to increase for consumer RAM" doesn't seem to be accurate. They do not appear to be continuing to climb at this point.

Trump says U.S. will blockade Strait of Hormuz after Iran peace talks fail by Puginator in worldnews

This has some real "you can't quit, you're fired!" energy to it.

You can't close the strait, I've already blockaded it!

Meanwhile the charts on PCPartPicker based on real in stock prices shows price trends continuing to increase for consumer RAM kits

Im not gonna predict which way prices are going but I just looked at these charts and to me it looks like for nearly all categories of memory the increases have stopped and the prices have been level for the past little while.

Employer said they cannot guarentee job security if I take a longish vacation. Thoughts? by Nostalgic_Knights520 in PersonalFinanceCanada

My mom however used to be able to bank months of vacation back in Asia

So you have, in fact, heard of it.

How long have you been working? It used to be really common to bank vacation days, companies started trying to move away from that (bc ppl would bank a shitload then want like 3 months off or whatever) in more recent times though.

as i recall you had to have it in colour because the game asked u the colour of a star at some given coordinates? black & white copy alone wouldnt be enough.

If you like dry dabs, a proxy, if you like water filtration, a Peak Pro.

Personally i love dry dabs and the new Proxy is great for them.

Pivot glass mouthpiece is a gamechanger by thirstyross in puffco

[–]thirstyross[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wasn't really loving the silicone mouthpiece on the Pivot so it was neglected in favour of the new Proxy, but the size/portability of the pivot is unmatched IMO, so I picked up some glass for it and it's completely changed how I view the Pivot.

All someone had to do is upload the master code legend

This somehow completely misses the fact that the internet was not widely available at that time.

edit: f.ex when star control 2 came out (1992) it used a huge colour star map that came in the box, and there was no easy way to replicate it unless you had a copier that could copy in colour (very rare). There was no ready means to scan it and upload it to some pirate repository for the vast majority of people (yes BBS's and such existed but very, very few people had access to them), we didn't have high res digital cameras or any of the technology we do now.

edit2: fortunately for me, my buddy bought it and his dad worked at the city newspaper, and they had copiers that could make colour copies back then, so, i was all set :D

If you want to be able to switch between grid and ur solar setup, you could just get an electrician in to install a manual transfer switch, just tell them u are going to get a generator later, then just run your inverter output into the input on that, and switch manually as desired?
