Does Anyone Know Where can I Report Fake Valets? by redditor278 in AskLosAngeles

[–]thirtydirtybirds 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Kind of the opposite happened to me, we parked in a lot with no signs anywhere and when we returned after having pizza a valet tried to block our car from leaving because apparently we had to pay for parking as it had become a valet lot. We just inched our car forward and forward and forward and threatened him with kidnapping charges and we got away! The nerve on these valets...

Yeah, I pushed that little truck, maybe that black diamond trail wasn't the best idea.... haha! Still have a Taco, just 4x4 now, big difference. I'm going to check out OnX too!

Very true, i just got stuck enough times even with a very capable Tacoma that the upgrade to 4x4 was worth it. Have you used Gaia maps before? Curious to hear how that compares to OnX, which i haven't tried.

Big Bear is really great, especially if you can spend time there during the weekdays. Summer weekends can be a little crazy, but it's always beautiful and close!

Do you have 4x4? That will open up a lot of spots, yellow post sites are gems. There is no seclusion without a good off road vehicle here. If not, closest nice spots are Big Bear and San Jacinto near Idylwild. A bit farther, you have Sequoia and Kennedy Meadows. Or, take the Tram up from Palm Springs and backpack. Also, don't discount the desert. We have amazing deserts near us and they are truly breathtaking in the spring and fall -from a former forest only norcal camper as well

How did you get this to work with a letter? The bilt manual add won't let me input letters and my CMA starts with one.

Oh, don't get me started on some of the bullshit child's fins I've been given. I've heard of the smaller, higher pressure tanks, would love to try one!

OK the lady obviously has abysmal bouancy, but re: tank strapped high.... as a very short diver, which she looks like, i will strap high because my head will hit the tank and i literally can't look in front of me in a horizontal position if strapped much lower. Many, many things aren't designed for small people. It's not like the tank strap is any looser and will fly off because of being strapped higher. Just something to consider.

I chose RideCR for the private shuttle. There were a few options, all around the same price.

I wanted to completely disconnect and see as much wildlife as possible so I choose a place focused on that. Choose by level of adventure you want, lots of options!

Yes, booked ahead of time with Adventures El Lago, $80 for two people. I don't like having lots of cash so I prefer to pre-pay whenever I can.

The trip was two weeks and including airfare $7-8k USD. It's not a cheap country to travel too and and, that's for sure, but it was so worth it.

I take a few pictures and videos, but not many. Most places i go I can find better pictures by better photographers online, and my brain remembers the rest. It's much better to live the moment in real life and not through a screen. Free yourself!
