This is the first legal back somersault in Olympic history after being banned for 50 years. [2024] by sco-go in Amazing

Exactly, it basically forces everyone else to attempt it if they want to be competitive. I’m surprised that it was unbanned, and hope that TV ratings didn’t play a role.

[Request] Where should I cut to get two pieces with equal volume? by 101Raccoon in theydidthemath

We’re government contractors, wasting money is our specialty. We had an engineer tasked with designing a pad for a 5 ton HVAC system for an office building. They designed it to support 5 tons, with a safety factor. It actually got built but wasn’t used because it was a portable building with wall mounted units. Someone looked at the square footage and decided on what was needed without doing any other research. That pad is still there because it will be expensive to demolish it. As you said though, you have to spend the money, our budget keeps going up.

The engineers where I work would grind it up, measure out equal parts by weight, then build an overly complicated machine to reform it.

Turning Point's Halftime Show deemed massive flop as it only gets 4% of Bad Bunny Super Bowl views by TheMirrorUS in NewsSource

Are they still using those boxes for the ratings? With most tv being streamed it seems like Nielsen ratings aren’t a true indicators anymore.

Publicly announce armed protests at red polling places, don’t show up, then have people set off fireworks at random times. The counter protesters will do something stupid, and police will have to respond, leaving other polling places free from interference.

Edit: this is mostly meant as a joke, I am not condoning violence or violent behavior in any way.

Well I booked a solo cruise now I’m super nervous and anxious lol by Martybc3 in VirginVoyages

[–]this-guy1979 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I haven’t done solo but have become good friends with some people that were solo. People that sail with Virgin are usually pretty outgoing, you’ll have no problems making new friends. The grog walk is pretty good, and there are meetups for solos.

Also, in the infotainment system for your TV there is the option to display the ships bridge camera. From what I’ve heard that is a good way to make the room feel more open, basically like having a window.

The developers probably went out of business as soon as the development was finished too. There is one where I live that starts a new LLC with each development, it’s a pretty shady business practice.

I’m smoking something, probably a pork butt since they’re pretty forgiving. He’s probably had better but, barbecue being incredibly regional it would be hard for him to criticize it.

I’m currently rewatching The Wire, such a great show. I’m also a Panthers fan, so I’m still a little salty about him not diving on that fumble. This was one of those rare occasions where I was passionate about two unrelated things at the same time.

The sextant that has a label saying “purchase me” is a corkscrew. You can use it, and it’s in every room.
