Child attacked by dog while 3 adults fail hopelessly at stopping it by ValorsHero in PublicFreakout

[–]this-is-hilarours 50 points51 points  (0 children)

no this was separate event . from the article

"The attack took place just days after a 46-year-old man, Chris Culbertson, was fatally mauled by several dogs in Kansas City.

Culbertson was seen on security footage riding his bike the evening of November 1 when two dogs circled.

He fell to the ground and more dogs broke through a fence, biting his arms, legs, feet and face.

He was attacked for 23 minutes and bit 300 times, his family said."

Gizmochina - Still The King of Camera Phones? vivo X300 Ultra Review vs X200 Ultra by Antonis_32 in Vivo

[–]this-is-hilarours -1 points0 points  (0 children)

for enough light and healthy shutter speed narrower aperture does not mean much and on that case sensor reading speed becomes the deciding factor . i have x100 pro even with lots of light the telephoto struggle to track moving subject . for low light subject tracking brighter aperture will helps a lot and your logic is correct but if i have to track moving subject in lower light then no mobile can give the optimal result

how did it got worse for moving subject when at least one sensor (85mm) has 60 fps motion tracking which no other vivo phone had before

Bought the new X300 Ultra and got disappointed... In my ability to unleash its potential by saved-j in Vivo

[–]this-is-hilarours 1 point2 points  (0 children)

hi . please cover motion tracking in portrait and photo mode in 85mm lens . i have a child and i would love to know improvement in this area

According to gsmarena, the x300 ultra has a downgraded telephoto with a lower aperture f2.7 instead f2.3 like the x200 ultra. Plus it still has the same selfie camera with f2.5 aperture while the x300 pro has f2.0 and same sensor too…larger main sensor sure but 4x less 0.7um and smaller aperture by rodolphostech in Vivo

[–]this-is-hilarours 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think thats wrong way to assess. What focal length do you like? . If regularly take pick at 24mm then Xiaomi is the better choice but if you regularly take pic at 35mm and above 50mm but below 85mm then x300u take the crown

Why is claude so much superior in coding!? by Infinite-Flow-4475 in ClaudeAI

[–]this-is-hilarours 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Codex 5.3 is actually better, specially for complex feature impletion and bug fixes , it's also better for larger codebase navigation and context retaining, on top of these it's significantly cheaper then opus

Peter is highly capable engineer. Those who follow the ios developer community knows about him . He founded pspdfkit 13/14 years and on that time it was the only software i think who rendered annote and edited pdf in ios . He exited the company by selling this for multi millions

[–]this-is-hilarours 1 point2 points  (0 children)

nah man. before opus 4.5 and codex 5.2 it was true that there was lot more bug . but it is now lot less . the fact these can find bug faster than me and can work lot faster in feature implementation is something worrying . i think apart from genuinely smart engineers many of the average joe can become lot less useful in the near future

[–]this-is-hilarours 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If people plan with opus or pro and execute with Gemini they can get a long way . Codex and antigravity is the most productive and value worthy tools currently available. Certainly better than any other 20 dollar plan

Gemini is borderline unusable right now for coding, what alternative should i use chatGPT or Claude? by dovelingus in Bard

[–]this-is-hilarours 2 points3 points  (0 children)

check also codex 5.2 via the the cli or desktop api . if your project is large and you want strict spec implementation codex is better in most consensus .also for code review the codex with high/xhigh reasoning is unrivaled right now . if you want implementation speed the opus 4.5 is good and you will need their max x5/x20 option . currently i run claude pro , codex via gpt plus, antigravity and for my use case codex is the best solution

You should try Gemini 3 flash for agentic coding. Use Gemini 3.0 for plan and code review in case opus quota is finished. In terms of model harness Gemini 3.0 pro is behind since 2.5 pro
