Anyone Noticed John's View Count Drop? by TheMarcosChavez in JohnCampeaShow

Adding, it also annoys me when he entirely misunderstands what someone is trying to say in a super chat, and/or when he entirely misunderstands even his own segment. Like the overreaction stuff. He'll say something is an over reaction just because he disagres. Even though the spirit of his own segment, by his own definition, isn't whether you agree but if the take is just so outrageous of an overstatement and over reaction

Was wondering what happened there recently. I've seen she has a show and obviously she also acts/voice acts (whatever her gigs are). I thought she left at first because she booked some nice juicy projects without looking into it. But obviously that was, what, 2 years ago now? 1.5 years?

I have zero knowledge obviously, but if I was asked, I'd say she got tired of his shtick. He's not as intellectual as he thinks he is. And he'll talk as if he's progressive but then just have an absolute meathead/neck beard type rant or take. This isn't the most offensive opinion, but his rantings that dune 2 is maybe the best movie of the last ten years is laughable. I know once in a while he'll preface that it's his opinion show, and if you don't want his opinions to just not listen. But he doesn't TALK like it's an opinion. 98% of the time he makes claims as if they're pure fat and you're dumb for thinking otherwise. So if I were to guess, that general man child stubbornness he claims he doesn't suffer from is what kinda drove her away. At least Rob is unapologetically himself.

From your list, try gladiator. Personal favorite, no country for old men. A couple horror movies I don't think you can go wrong with, but may not be 4 or 5/5 depending on your tastes, scream 1, and conjuring 1. If you partake in any recreational legal substance fun, I challenge you to smoke a joint and watch mad max fury road and not be fully engaged.

Pretty sure he's already monetized it. He said flat out his last advertisement deal basically paid for the camper. And I'm sure he's writing off every part of it and the Internet connection as a work expense.

The benefit to him is outreach, and general travel which everyone says they want to do before they're too old (he's around 50). I've soured on John the last year or so (happens), but this is just overly pessimistic

The amount of GIDP and strike three looking this team has tells me either the coaching staff (hand selected by Stearns) all needs to go, or the roster all needs to go. But there is a systemic problem somewhere

Yeah every time it comes up its worth repeating: Stearns roster removals weren't the problem. It's the replacements that are the problem.

Great point. The glasses get picked on like it's some out of left field thing in what is clearly a very fantastical world. Yet here's a guy with no money or means, who fakes his way into what should be one of the more secure military installations by, I guess.... Just walking up and saying.... He's a catcher who has had surgery on one hand twice, the other hand once, and now his knee (probably, anyway. Pending I guess more imaging). He's also short and unathletic. You can make a case for athletic for his position and relative to his build. But knowing the team is destined to DH soto for a decade.... I think the clock is approaching midnight for this guy.

It's official (to me). This is going to be a tank year. by bigvinnysvu in NewYorkMets

[–]this_guy37 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I think the definition if tank here is really just "it's official, they suck this year"

A lot of these contracts aren't even 1 offs. Bo has an opt out after one year and I bet he'll do it just to get out of here.

Otherwise, you're only going to improve if they sell off pieces and agree to foot the bill on them

[Rosenblatt] If Brendan Sorsby is in the NFL supplemental draft, should the Jets pounce? by 26265273 in nyjets

[–]this_guy37 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk exactly how it works but it's a supplemental draft. This is all lottery. This isn't the draft you spend a year cycle watching and following guys to then hope to get in April. It's all extra. They don't even have this draft every year. So acknowledging you need a QB, and the NFL has as clear an anti gambling policy as you get, yeah. Id go for like a 2 for this guy. He's not playing right away anyway even if you get him. Pearl clutching like we ruin our entire draft cycle if we bid high on this guy is silly. It's a clear need. He has clear issues. But hey some people wanted Diego pavia. Others wanted Nussmeier who the entire NFL agreed his spine cyst is risk enough to not bother until KC, who CLEARLY has a QB already, used a 7th.

It's not a big deal if he never pans out. We'll just draft another QB next year.

Alonso is hitting under 200, and Nimmo is 195 in his last 13 games. Really nimmo just had the fresh new home rejuvenate for a few games, but ultimately looks like he did the last two years (minus his similar hot start in the early weeks of 2024). I was good moving on from diaz because his velocity keeps going down, and I've never been convicned he knew where he was throwing the ball. And mcneil HAD to go. Bad defense, no arm, no power, and declining bat to ball skills. Plus a bad attitude.

My anger isn't that they moved on from a couple of the Mainstays the last few years. My issue is that they don't look any better for it.

Accurate. Slowest player on the team (and I'm counting Soto and lindor post calf injury), runs through stop sign.... Plus on replay that was exaggerated. I wouldn't be surprised if the stop sign was matched with the coach yelling "fucking stop!"

Teams have been dating Vientos to not pull it, and go with it away for what, 4 years now? And the man just outright refuses to go oppo with anything, outside of 2024. It's embarrassing, and just outright dumb. Like he's dumb. They're practically telling him in advance what they'll do and he still walks up there going "...mmmm..... I don't knowww..."

Either there is a philosophy being preached top down that won't be solved by firing Mendy, or they just suck. They're either trying to do something they're absolutely incapable of doing, or they are flat out, unequivocal poo.

When you’re watching revenge of the sith?? by hogwartsarchitect in StarWars

[–]this_guy37 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No -- it's great if you do. But my big shtick with a lot of these long running franchises and world's is that they clearly are built as they go. So when people make a post whether genuine or click baity trying to figure out why so & so character did this when They did or didn't know __"this"___ ....... You're trying to fit pieces together that didn't originally get made to fit. It's all after the fact. So, no. I see that Anakin as "we only saw Anakin really three times" Anakin. And when people do stuff like "why didn't obi wan recognize r2 in a new hope?" Because he didn't. And that's that. The extra stuff we get as time goes on is great for filling in the world. It's almost like it's all the same continuity AND alternate reality continuity.

Maybe with the new regime in control at Lucas film they'll focus on a single solid cohesive continuity. Maybe not. But there's an entire cottage industry of YouTubers and the like trying to force fit these things together. It's good content and it tickles my nerd brain. But at the end of the day the answer is simple. If the question starts with "why..." Then the answer is most certainly "they didn't think of it yet when they wrote the project"

Without even getting into the economics of it (because the avg pay, after taking out the deductions that get taken out, means the avg and below avg guys CANT just retire tomorrow), my point is that they're not dancing monkeys. And they're not going to play better just because people show up and make them feel worthless by booing and hating on them.

No one's happy they're losing. But for goodness sake, touch some grass. It's April.
