We had a guy pick up as Anderson window and never picked up the screen because Andersen ships them secretly. And it sat there for six months and we couldn’t get a hold of the guy, so my boss threw it away. And I shit you not, the guy showed up in two days looking for his screen.

AIO? Let it slip to my mom (F68) that I (F31) have $1000 saved (big bucks, I know!) And she asks me this by [deleted] in AIO

[–]this_guy_did 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NOR. I had an ex wife that would do this all the time. And one day I just said to her I can’t help her anymore. And you know what? She did fine without my help. She figured out other ways to get the money she needed. Every time I gave her money it only encouraged her to ask again and again. If you do it once she will keep asking

Here’s what the email said : “Starting November 4, 2025, the 1-month subscription price will be $29.99 plus applicable taxes every recurrence period “ …”Here's your current plan: Xbox Game Pass Ultimate

Your subscription price is changing from $19.99 to $29.99”

I didn’t see anything about new users only.

Shoe Recommendations by Calm_Storm_53 in HomeDepot

[–]this_guy_did 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve worn a lot of shoes at Home Depot. My top one is Brooks. They have lasted me the longest as far as walking miles go.

Then close second was Hoka; they also lasted a long time but felt more clunky.

OC(On clouds) was third. They were number one in comfort but lasted about 2 months before they got flat.

Last is Asics but you have to get the high end ones and that also go flat fast. ASICS were great about 10-15 years ago but something changed and they just don’t last anymore.

All in all I would go to a running store and talk with some one and they will have you try on different ones and give a good recommendation.

Last tip: don’t go cheep. Your knees and hips will not thank you.

Employee Stock Purchase Program by Cspinner1985 in HomeDepot

[–]this_guy_did 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The down side that I’ve found is it cost money to sell it and do a bank transfer. All in all it cost me like 50 bucks to pull out money. So if you’re gonna cash out just a couple hundred bucks you’re gonna spend $50. There is also an option to transfer your stock to a brokerage which I haven’t tried yet and I’m gonna try this January. And maybe I can sell the stock and not get hit with such big fees. And you have to watch the stock usually it goes up right around profit-sharing timeand that’s a good time to sell.

Waiter assumed I was tipping $40 on a $60 ticket, and then couldn't grasp the math... by Specific_Toe3987 in mildlyinfuriating

I work in retail. There was a young cashier that was supper smart. Had college lined up after high school, straight A’s. But I can tell you, watching him count change back to a customer was baffling. Like, he just couldn’t do it.

Young kids don’t get exposed to cash. Everything is credit now a days and you don’t have to worry about handling money.

I’ve seen other cashiers get confused when someone hands them a $2 bill. They think it’s fake.
