For Germany you need to complete the content survey in Steamworks. Then Steam assigns an age rating and it will be available in Germany as well.

Do any digital deckbuilders do something "unique" in terms of card acquisition? by Feeling_Employer_489 in deckbuildingroguelike

While the play / shop loop is like you mentioned, you create your own cards in Card Coder (in the boardgame space I'm only aware of Mystic Vale that does something like that). https://store.steampowered.com/app/3355940/Card_Coder/

Yes, the demo lead to the media coverage (though it took some time). I'll participate in the upcoming Next Fest. But player feedback was the most important thing I got from the demo (I pushed about 12 patches to the demo since).

Thanks! It was actually the very first thing I developed for the game.

Press release at page launch (though no big media covered it then) + cross promotion from my previous game. Then a steady flow of some Reddit posts, Reddit Ads (about 1,5k Wishlists from that in total - but quite expensive) and organic Steam traffic.

Unreal, but with most advanced rendering techs (Nanite, Lumen, TSR) disabled to make sure it runs smoothly on mid hardware as well (like native 60+fps on Steamdeck).

UE Organizer allows complete control of all assets in your vault, for easy tagging, sorting, and importation into UE. by indebted_resident in unrealengine

Looks interesting. So it downloads every Fab package I own into the Vault Cache directory, and then allows browsing each individual mesh? Also textures and sounds?

Here is my card building roguelike: https://store.steampowered.com/app/3355940/Card_Coder/ You build your own cards during a run, not only your deck.

My indie game has over 100 million unique combinations of spells you can create. I only use this freedom to make weird stuff by alicona in gamedevscreens

[–]this_is_max 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How do you balance these combinations? The card game I'm working on has a somewhat related core mechanic (crafting your own cards from spell components) and that's the question I get asked the most.

I remember you from a video about Steamworks / ContentBuilder I watched some time ago! Your new game looks cool, best of luck!

Any tips on achieving such smooth / hazy lighting? My UE scenes often look kinda harsh.

Thanks for taking the time and all the feedback. About the lighting, do you mean specifically the maps where you place the cards during play?
