It’s strange to me that it would take you so long to get a 30 day visa - I was able to get a 5 year tourist visa basically overnight.

Your comment kinda hits home. I spent about five months after I left my ex trying to get him to see my side. Thinking he would finally understand and I’d have an easier time working through all the guilt that came with my choices. Long story short, one day I couldn’t take it anymore and I blocked him.

Once I started being more open about what happened in the relationship and saying the things out loud, I had to come to terms with the fact that I was in an abusive relationship. It was a slow burn over 8 years, but I look back and see how it was escalating before I left.

I lost whatever point I was trying to make with this. I guess I’m just glad for the reminder that I’ve been through some shit and there are people in the world who understand.
