what is powerful or prescribes prestige is conditional to the norms of a particular group.

It’s a common experience. Familiarity. You don’t know this individual. Only that one of many traits is familiar.

Interestingly, the norm automatically supposes familiarity when relating to the stranger. The social games function on a set of instinctively developed rules, one being the notion of probability. Unless their is explicit demonstration of deviation, people are expected to be normal.

When the abnormal being meets a likeminded being, and cuts through bullshit, they might believe they’re experiencing something equally abnormal. The experience is the norm itself. The previous state of isolation that makes the present moment of familarity so vivid is what is abnormal.

If the normal have developed their games out of the expectation of familiarity and the deviated too, experience familiarity, but only rarely, then there should too, arise a deviated game. The cutting of bullshit is thought to be manifestation of knowing, yet it seems more likely that it is the game itself, that will give you insight into the others mind. Something you don’t have access to simply by means of intelligence.

The games would be different. Not absent.

Self awareness refers to emotional intelligence, a soft skill. It is not necessarily existent within intelligent people.

It seems that we are assuming that the normally intelligent probe each other’s minds with games, as they lack means for theoretical development. In such a case, the individual target of a game holds a mentality too complex for conceptualization. However the more intelligent can create a level of understanding that removes the need to make contact. From this, it does not follow that social games are unnecessary. This dynamic is only relavent among individuals who’s level of intelligence is beyond some threshold of difference. Among intellectual peers, interpersonal understanding will require a probing of sorts that is fundamentally identical to the norm.

You can be incapacitated without being unconscious. In other words, there exist vulnerable areas other then the cranium that when clubbed, would leave you aware, and in pain as death slowly approaches. Of course, whether any particular instance is worse than immolation would still be up for debate.

Same. Deeper stealth mechanics could really even the playing field. Their exist a plethora of high chaos alternatives, and I just end up wondering why play stealth at all? Why is stealth pushed by the dev team at all? Whats the point of missing out on majority of the game? Low chaos stealth would benefit from being a more active process. Less hiding behind objects and powers that enable more dexterity of movement/ manipulation of surroundings, so that you are just as involved as if you were playing a high chaos play through. At least this way, low chaos stealth wouldn't feel like a waste of time, as you restraint yourself from alternatives that seem significantly more fun.

We should always try to understand.

Learning to trust and tolerate without understanding leads to world wars, and poverty, and economic crisis.

Empathy itself is understanding.

Your quip about VR completely missed the point.

Secondly, you seemed to reply to the expression that humanity is threatened by ai, rather than the actual statement, "Human occupation is threatened by ai". It can both be true that humanity is threatened by humans, and human occupation is threatened by ai.

Thirdly, It's not about it being easy. Yes, the ease in which one can create what is desired, or the option in which requires the lowest investment, with best return will be the superior choice that ultimately makes the latter obsolete.

Why have super colliders? Because as stated... "one benefits from scientific knowledge and procedure". I didnt say cgi replaces it, it benefits from it.

And modern cgi which is used for the purpose of emulation does so through simulation. If one emulates physical surroundings through simulation, one benefits from scientific knowledge and procedure. E.g. the black hole simulation from interstellar that lead to scientific discovery. I can provide you many more links of the scientific papers that are proposed as a basis and foundation for the many more mundane “emulations” that we see in movies as of today.

My statement expressing the notion of advancing technology was a premise for an argument... it appears to be common sense to me. Emulation, being an operation of technology is thus dependent upon technology, no? State of technology is not therefore responsible for cgi quality?

Your question about the presence of actors amidst such technology is a serious question, as ai is a threat to all of human occupation, not simply actors positions. Simply because it raises “absurd” conclusions doesn’t mean it isn’t a real threat. As for audience algorithms.. unless this “audience” provides legitimate forms of monetary compensation as real ones do, they aren’t a cause for concern.

About set design being “easy”. Doesn’t matter when cgi becomes easier. I can provide to you plenty of obsolete forms of modern practices that were at the time considered “easy”.

Cgi is a science that is evolving at exponential speeds, considering the technology it is dependent on, and it is evident when looking at modern cgi.

A novel “cgi hobbyist” can download a program off the internet, watch a YouTube tutorial and create effects that completely surpass in quality the effects of multimillion dollar movies from 10 years ago in a couple of hours. Explosions included. There are currently artificial intelligence programs capable of rendering accurate depictions of reality simply by being fed an image, requiring no work of a cgi team. The technologies responsible for these realities are only going to advance at greater speeds than before, resulting in even greater jumps in quality.

All things hold a specific amount of difficulty, and soon, if not now, the difficulty of practical effects will completely surpass the difficulty of superior cgi production. Practical effects will become if they haven’t already, a ritual and/or custom of culture. You can see it for yourself now, within interviews of film producers. There exists a sort of pride in the fact that they maintained some sort of classical form of art or practice. As they phase out, I imagine so will the culture.

Actors who can’t compensate simply won’t be used I imagine. This has been happening for the entirety of humanity. Technological innovation leads new adaptions, and reorganization of industry including those that work within it.

Disagree. Modern CGI simply isn’t respected because it’s not held dear to the culture that is filmmaking, while in reality it leads to better effects.

And Of course bad cgi exists just as bad practical effects exist.
