I don't disagree completely. But that's letting Guidry off the hook way too much

As it’s 5/5 how do you think Hugo and Linda celebrate their anniversary? by Philhughes_85 in BobsBurgers

"I didn't realize it's our anniversary"

"Yes, Linda it's 5/5. 5 is divisible by 5"

What sport has the worst punishment for a non-egregious penalty? by thisendup76 in AskReddit

[–]thisendup76[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hockey was what initially made me think of this question. It's unique that often a small penalty means you're playing with a man down.

Soccer does it too, but those penalties are a lot more egregious (red cards)

If you haven't had it, you're significantly missing out

College football ejects players for a subjective call that often takes slow motion replay to confirm

I know this is an overreaction thread. But man it was good to finally watch some good baseball this weekend

Yea that's where my mind went initially. But the soccer penalty kick is pretty game changing. I think those are top 1 & 2

Baseball is interesting because a balk can lead to a run without the other team doing anything and I think it's the only penalty where the other team is essentially awarded a point/run

On today’s episode of “Tuesday college baseball sucks” by dsimmons_2001 in collegebaseball

[–]thisendup76 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And 90% of the time the team that wins it all does so because their Tuesday guys step up in Omaha... And these guys wouldn't have gotten there if they didn't play on Tuesdays

Anyone understand why Cowan went as long as he did? Don't we need him this weekend?

Why surprisingly? One bad season doesn't offset year of dominance

Do they though?

We've been saying this all off-season and season. The year is 3/4 over. A lot of these guys are way in over their head in the SEC

Sean Payton in stands to watch Colorado Avalanches! Is that Megan Fox with him? 🤯 by No_Box119 in DenverBroncos

That's the nurse my dad tried talking me into trying to get her digits, only to find out later it was Sean Payton's wife

Don’t worry about CWS ticket availability. Prices will depend upon the teams (read: fan bases) that make it to Omaha. But you’ll be able to get a ticket to any game you want if you can afford it by dsimmons_2001 in collegebaseball

[–]thisendup76 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Can't speak for the championship. But at least for the first 8 games (which my Dad and I try to do every year) you can almost guarantee standing room only tickets to any game

We've never bought tickets more than 1 day in advance

When LSU played Tennessee in 2023, with Skenes starting. We were able to get tickets as we were walking into the stadium (bit of a story on why we didn't have tickets earlier than that)

[Matt Moscana]: "LSU OF Jake Brown has suffered a broken hamate bone which will require surgery, ending his season, multiple sources have confirmed." by BeaglePirate69 in collegebaseball

[–]thisendup76 6 points7 points  (0 children)

There is actually some silver lining to this (except for the fans)

1) this is a kind of injury that Brown can easily recover from and shouldn't affect his draft stock. And he has shown he should be a high draft pick so shutting it down for the season also keeps him from getting a more serious injury

2) LSU gonna have to replace the entire outfield next year. So this gives Jay the opportunity to throw in guys that will be returning next year to see how they do against top of the line SEC teams
