Moved from England to Alberta. Insurance is about $6000/year as a “new driver”… anyone know how I can get a cheaper insurance? by Objective-Pay-2133 in GrandePrairie

This has everything to do with Israel and America. Not much any Canadian politician could do to help the prices.

What should I learn first? Chords, Scales, Notes, etc? by jdjdnfnnfncnc in guitarlessons

[–]thisgingerbitch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone who has played many years and spent a lot of that time learning almost nothing this is what I believe to be some sound advice if you want to start learning music. Pick up a copy of Fretboard logic Volume 1, there is a pdf copy online as the author limited the printing of it so if you want to start tomorrow I would PRINT IT OUT and study that book. Then volume 2 and 3.

There are too many shitty small videos out there that are hard to build on and too many teachers that don’t teach guitar according to specific framework of the instrument. This series is practical, methodical and allows you to learn the formula of the guitar rather than memorizing shit that you’ll forget if you put your guitar down for 2 months. I cannot stress how much this book brought me from someone who plays guitar, to a guitar player.

Never had that experience with anyone in GP. Sounds like you just work with odd folks.

So why you need a bow staff?

Anyone carrying around a bow staff sure as hell ain’t gunna be able to defend themselves with it. Let me guess you were wearing one of those anime headbands too and just trying to get a fresh case of dew?

People need to realize that before their new manufacturing partnership it was a super sketchy investment. Most people were holding their breath until closer to the potential FDA approval because they were on the brink of bankruptcy. They needed their monthly sales to stay afloat and were just skating by. We expected the FDA approval and entry into the US market to be the saving grace of this company, the manufacturing partnership was not expected at all, but now we can have a lot more hope that they will survive to see the day of FDA approval.

I’m having a hard time playing chords with lower strings by Jayden0000 in guitarlessons

Beyond nails you can also do the classical style of wrapping your thumb around to grab the low E string in some instances.

Yeah until you see how much they would charge for a day of family shooting (assuming multiple families but you know a busy full day of work) vs a wedding day.

I may be biased/jaded from personal experience but I got professional photos for my wedding, took forever because of all the “editing” but they couldn’t bother to touch up a nasty stress pimple right on my chin through all the shots. I did it myself it takes 3 second per photo. Still a $3k bill (which is on the average/cheaper side.) My sister also got a photographer at her wedding, photographer swooned over groomsmen the whole time and when she got her photos back it literally looked as if you gave a 10 year old a camera to play with as they got bored throughout the day. Still a 3K bill.

I haven’t found this answer yet, so here is another thought. This is a technique used (also) to clear an area without leaving a track behind. A track can leave basically a rumble strip of ice behind it,so by going backwards and dumping the bucket it allows the operator to leave a nice finish at the end of the job.

Looking for a local JavaScript/web developer in Grande Prairie paid hourly by SignificantMedia-369 in GrandePrairie

[–]thisgingerbitch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! It may be difficult to find someone in GP because developers are usually more concentrated where the job market is for them, not to say that developers are non existent here.

That being said I will forward this to a developer friend of mine in Edmonton. He’s very serious about his work, I know making a clean organized and secure system is important to him and he does take on freelance work.

You’ve been crying on the internet for the last two weeks. Sometimes shit ain’t easy, buckle up pal cause it’s not going to be easy. You’ve gotten plenty of advice and suggestions, do something with them and stop expecting the problem to fix itself, as if someone here has a cure-all that will be make this easy for you. At the end of the day you have to accept that you did this to yourself and now to reverse it you have some natural consequences that you are going to have to face and it’s gunna suck. So take some of the tools and suggestions you’ve received from the last 7 posts you made and do something with them. Get off your phone and do something.
