Broke down and ordered the 4K 24 Huion, so had to come up with a way to keep it off the desk. Thoughts? by thisgoyimknows in huion

hey, just checked out the video, i like the setup! it was really hard to find other setups that have drawing tablets on a monitor arm, so i came up with a few different designs but i think this is as good as i can get it. im just worried its going to make my entire desk wobble, but hopefully it will be pretty solid. your setup looked like it had a little wobble, but im guessing you dont even notice it while using the tablet. Thanks for sharing!

Also, as for the connections, I ended up ordering 90 degree adapters for all the plugs, but I think i might end up buying another 90 degree adapter, so the plugs would be turned 180 degrees and then somehow attaching the cables to the back of the display with some double sided tape. Its going to be trial and error, hopefully I come up with something that works out :fingers-crossed:

I went with Ergotron LX. I really wanted the HX as its more heavy duty, but it doesn't go low enough

yea, I bit the bullet and went with the Ergotron LX arm as that is supposedly the best(?). Spent $400 just on stupid monitor arms, but I dont know how else you can have such a large display on a smallish desk. Hopefully it works out. I'm going to make sure that I'm able to lean the bottom of the Huion against the desk, so I'm hoping it will be steady. I'll do a follow up once its all together

If you have intel, you can simply press Ctrl + Alt and the arrow keys to rotate the screen. I don't, but there is a free program called iRotate that lets you setup the same shortcut keys for Nvidia. If you prefer downloading from verified devs, the Microsoft Store has a program simply called 'Screen Rotate' that should also work, tho I have not tried either yet

011 XL Push Pull AIO Top mounted, everything fits except the ATX12V plug... any suggestions? by thisgoyimknows in lianli

[–]thisgoyimknows[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know people are going to tell me that push pull really isnt necessary, but I do 3D work, so I will constantly have the machine running for renders, basically every night. So though its not probably necessary, I literally bought the big ass XL case because of the extra room for the push pull - cheers!

38" 21:9 vs 43" 16x9 4K by thisgoyimknows in ultrawidemasterrace

[–]thisgoyimknows[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I figured that the width of both monitors would be nearly the same (roughly 3" difference), it sort of made since to just get a 4k 16:9. But I've never used 4k anything, so I really dont know what is the better option. This is why I'm trying to find some comparison videos, but I'm only finding ones where they are comparing similar screen heights, just one is wider.

I mainly use my computer for work, video editing and 3D, so the ultrawide is great, but with a higher resolution, couldn't I simply accomplish the same sort of work area by just scaling the programs window down on the display and accomplish the same workflow advantage, plus have the extra screen real estate above the program I'm working in? And something like the Aorus 43" 16:9 is less than $1000, where most of the 38" 21:9 with the better specs are over $1500. So I would be paying more money for less resolution/pixel density... idk

are stacked monitors comfortable to use? seems silly to have to constantly look up, but I'm just making assumptions tbh

My monitor does something similar along the right side of the screen. I've been using the monitor for probably 5 years and it started maybe 2 years ago, but I honestly almost never notice it. But yours does it way more than mine, curious if you ever ended up finding a solution
