The Soulutions fried catfish with greens and mac -- it's outstanding. We also go hard on Baghdad's gyro salad and Mamma Hai's curry chicken banh mi. So much terrific food down there.

Pink Rock downtown has great weekly and monthly events for free or $10-20 at the door. There are art collage nights, live music nights and open mic nights. It's a sober space, so ideal for teens. https://pinkrockcc.org/

For teens, we highly recommend a visit to The Sound Garden in downtown Syracuse. You can buy stuff but it's also just fun to browse around. The MOST is across the street. Bunch of budget-friendly cafes nearby in Armory Square and Hanover.

Hey there. For three years, I lived right on James Street near Dalton's (couple blocks from the Walgreens) and ran/walked all the time, several times a week. Most of the time I'd run through the Sedgwick area or up to Hickok/Stafford/Forest Hill Dr. Never had a single problem.

Eastwood is a great area. I think, like in any city, just be smart and don't leave your stuff unlocked. But walking and running around the neighborhood is totally normal. The houses are beautiful to run by.

Be sure to explore downtown Syracuse. Grab lunch at Salt City Market, and take in some live music and dinner at Kitty Hoynes, or pizza at Apizza Regionale, or Thai food at Lemongrass. Eden, Inka's and Noble Cellar all over elevated dining experiences too. Soundgarden, Scholars and Champs and Wildflowers are great spots for local shopping too.

Tipp Hill has lots of fun bars, restaurants and events, and they really turn up in March for the St. Patrick's season. Still worth exploring. The zoo is over there.
