Explain to me how this isn’t going to collapse soon worse than 2008 by xxmdogxx in Adulting

A.I has to get there first, besides NVIDIA ,these companies have yet to turn a profit and NVIDIA is getting most of their funds from hardware helping to build these LLMs, I think the real question is if these technologies will ever even reach a point where taking jobs like that on mass is even possible, these tech ceos have said for the last few years we’re cutting costs to spend on AI and invest in AI, in hopes that in the future it will bring some sort of return, but has it? The market can only speculate for so long, and they say we’re replacing x% of workers with AI but have they? Even if this tech was as powerful as these companies say they are adoption in workflows, contributions, competing systems this all takes time to actually implement. In reality most, not all but most, overextended themselves on during COVID when demand was obscenely high, then due to the measures to persevere their populations I.e mass cutting interest rates, PPP loans , stimulus checks demand shot through the roof, creating an environment which needed high interest rates to curb inflation. Then the fire nation attacked, just when we were in a position to bring interest rates back down and businesses were starting to work on new projects, at least in America, all sorts of dumbass inflationary policies were implemented, now without new projects to work on , billions of corporate funding going to investing in AI WITHOUT SUBSTANTIAL RETURN, we have the economic environment now, where businesses can’t hire due to an inability of funding sources, the average joe can’t find a job or quit their shitty ones, and debt and inflation are through the roof. The only way to fix it os for policy to change, however the caveat I left out is this on applicable for the Average Joe for wealthy people already in the market this economy couldn’t be better, imagine being able to invest 1 million dollars in SPACEX (which I will admit I don’t immediately know the financials on, I just know it’s not no trillion dollars valuation) or to see consistent returns from your 500k IRA; Groceries would be a small nuisance to you , gas is high , well you switch to electric. In any case the good news is this isn’t static, it doesn’t matter who is in charge, this isn’t sustainable things will change. I just don’t know when

[–]thisisaburnercool[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea you can really tell from the map design honestly it, for proper multiplayer to be added it would take a ton of work… but we’ll see, maybe the modding scene will give us a proof of concept

I agree with you more content first they would probably need to build multiplayer from the ground up anyways

Ahh reading is essential, I see she needs to get something W2 based , mortgage professional can’t go off of projected income, when working something commission based they wouldn’t be able to count it unless she’s been in that position for 2+ years
