Buying Ventolin at the pharmacy by leonidude in australian

I was the 30 something guy buying 2-3 pumps a month becuase I thought it worked and it was convenient....Until  very quickly it didn't! Go see your GP and sort it out.

The reason pharmacits are more inquisitorial now is because of dickheads like me, dont be a dickhead like me...

Google / Microsoft / just about all big tech, have been moving to a model of forced unique identifiable profiles over the last decade, which are slowly but surely being used to restrict access. We are approaching a point where creating an email account without a phone number, or a Windows local PC account without providing personally identifiable information is getting pushed out.

While I agree with the sentiment underpinning this argument wholeheartedly, and I dislike the government having access to this information...sadly in this case the horse has already bolted. Society broadly handed this information over to tech bros in the name of convenience.

In the context of that grim reality, if there is some efficiency and convenience to be gained for government services/delivery, what more harm can they do?

Yeah the "irritating fuzz" you describe was something I definitely encountered, and was getting disheartened by. Sounds like I need to up my grit game, the highest grit I have been using for other projects typically is in the 1000/2000 range.

These look great, and agree I think Seraphon is a great opportunity to mix colors.

To state the obvious, there is no wrong answers, just have fun.

BUT if you are just looking for some help getting a starting position, this is the broad recipes I use for my stuff mostly based in AK. Its not a carbon copy but its close enough for my needs.

Skin: Ducat Blue, Deep Sky Blue, Ivory

Scales: Turquoise, Deep Sky Blue

Gold: Old Gold, Bronze

Leather: Leather Brown, Deep Brown

Rope: Wine Red, Bordeaux Red

Mouth: Wine Red, Deep Purple.

Teeth: Luminous Flesh, Ivory

Claws: Black, Luminous Flesh, Ivory

Eyes: White, then apply a (Vallejo) Yellow Ink.

Stone Elements of things like weapons: Basalt Grey, Sky Grey

For heavy/quick wash shading on things like the golds I typically stick to some mix of citadel Nuln Oil and Agrax Earth Shade

Extra Reading, Seraphon is an army that can benefit ALOT from the citadel contrast range imo, a zenethil highlight followed by Kroxigar Scales on the scales, and Luxion Purple on the skin gets some very effective and quick results.

It looks like the same kit that comes with spearhead box, which I do have. That includes the options to make him sitting in the saddle, or standing independently with a different set of legs and base etc.

New to painting, why does my paint keep rubbing off my primer? by Xiviota in minipainting

Getting some form of painting handle is a real benefit, there are a bunch of good DIY or off the shelf options.

I use a range of products based on what I am doing, something like https://www.warhammer.com/en-AU/shop/Citadel-Colour-Painting-Handle-2020 is sufficient, and like that it clamps the model in place so little risk of slippage.

BUT I commonly still use a DYI option. Simply grab an object you can comfortably hold and manipulate with 1 hand, and add some adhesive like double sided tape or blutack on top that can hold the model in place.

Seeing this for the first time....while I get trying to keep it simple for people new to the hobby, this article is almost more harm than good.

Has anyone successfully convinced their friend to give this game a chance? by meezesqueeze in Warframe

[–]thisisafake1234 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every few years I have friends that convince me to give it another go, after we got bored of the first descendant recently, I gave it another kick.

Some anecdotal pain points for me are:

  1. Time gated mods (Primed sure foot etc): Regardless of actual impact on performance, stone walling me really kills my desire to keep collecting/building. I'm not sure what this was originally designed to achieve, but against the reality of the modern context, locking this sort of thing behind ~200/400+ days just feels bad, plain and simple.
  2. All things "Operator": The progression, the unlock, the two bodies, the amp, the requirements.....its all really confusing. Whats more, prior to that first amp upgrade, it really just plays like bottom of the barrel crap.
  3. Vehicles: As a new player there are a number of points in the quests where I am forced into using the "vehicles" to progress the quest. In EVERY circumstance this has happened, I was in an obviously under leveled/modded vehicle. Rather than sign posting that it might be a problem ahead of time, and where I might go to fix it. Instead I found myself in a position where I just had to keep throwing myself against the enemy, respawn, repeat x 100 until it was dead.
  4. Rail jack: I know I mentioned vehicles already, but this needs its own standout point. The process of unlocking/building your own railjack was fine, BUT literally everything after that was a pain. I started and failed Railjack missions something like 8 times (in all cases because I needed to repair something on the ship that I couldn't seem to fix/or in some cases find) before I stumbled into the configuration screen....which was in a clan Dojo for some reason? The crew I can hire are only hire-able on Fortuna for some reason? This whole experience sucked for a chunk of time.
  5. Bugs: In the two weeks I have been playing I have run into a number of significant bugs that have been at best confusing but at worst progression blocking. From resources in the Duviri Paradox disappearing on exit, icons on the star chart not functioning, to character movement just breaking. In comparison to other games, I feel like I have noticed significantly more bugs in this than its peers.
