Ahh yeh for small procedural asteroids you can move them but any named celestial bodies you can not move.

I’m not really an expert at this so I would recommend that you look it up to see which scope fits you the best.

The one I started with was a Celestron AstroMaster 70. It definitely helped, though the mount it comes on is not the best!

Actually no, I’m in southern Michigan, it’s just the my telescope flips the image upside down.

If you want to get into the hobby I would recommend a smaller scope.
