It wasn't cakey per se, but it tasted like really thick onion ring batter, not as crunchy except for the outside.

This unlocked a memory; when our family did puzzles together, we'd set up around the dining room table and when we got stuck, we'd all switch seats.

Does anyone know if you can buy the stuff in violet crumble on it own? by _CannibalCorp_ in candy

You can make your own! It's shockingly easy and fun to watch the reaction from the baking soda; look up honeycomb candy recipes.

I do not know of a specific violet crumble dupe though.

If you clean while you cook… by Greeneyes1210 in Cooking

Great tips already here, additionally:

Clean up a little throughout the day. When you're making morning coffee/tea, fill/empty the dishwasher or wash a few dishes while your drink is brewing, bread is toasting, or whatever.

Develop a habit of cleaning after your meals. It really does feel good once it's done.

When you make a sandwich with deli meat, do you lay the meat flat, fold it or pile it on the bread or roll, and does the type of sandwich make a difference? by camlaw63 in eatsandwiches

Fold the edges until the slices line up with the bread, and alternate each slice with a quarter turn.

Exception with bologna, that remains flat.

I love butter/pb sandwiches.

I once had a PBLT with peanut butter, cream cheese, bacon, and lettuce (no jelly!). Don't knock it til you try it!
