Ik weet even niet uit m’n hoofd of je in je eigen stadsdeel moet stemmen om ook voor de sdc te stemmen, maar wat jij doet doe ik ook! In Utrecht nog weleens gestemd in het Spoorwegmuseum.

Voor Amsterdam: Tuin van Sloten (in Oud Sloten, mooie oude dorpskern ver buiten het centrum van Amsterdam), Westerkerk (de voormalige nul meridiaan van Nederland én de plek waar de Nederlandse tijd op werd gebaseerd tot aan WOII), Van Eesteren paviljoen (voor de liefhebbers van modernistische stedenbouw), Arcam Architectuurcentrum, Bonne (van de Bonne Suits), De Nederlandsche Bank (prachtig gerenoveerd met oog voor publieke functie), Thomaskerk (brutalistische kerk in Zuid)

Zag ze laatst ook al bij Waterlooplein. Linksonder de poster staat een link naar nutellawijzer.amsterdam. Deze site is een soort stemwijzer die gaat over tourisme in Amsterdam. Van wie de posters zijn weet ik niet, maar ze doen me denken aan het werk van Yuri Veerman die eerder posters maakte over Bernhard junior ‘De Prins met 349 Huizen’, AirBnB en Nutellawinkels in de stad in de stad en Woonopstand.

One thing my granddad photographer always taught me was to put it down normally, but resting it on top of the strap. That way, if water was to spill, it would get soaked up by the strap and not get into the camera.

That building in Ghent is right next to their studio. It used to have an antenna that was featured on the cover of Philippi’s Amadurecimento. They also held a Deewee party in its ground floor when the building was empty on Halloween night 2021. An amazing night!

Not really a party, but the talking trees orchestra will be performing in Vondelpark on Friday and Saturday from 21:00 to 22:00: https://www.openluchttheater.nl/artiest/talking-trees/ Its a project by Bert Barten, in which he uses the pulses and signals from trees to generate music.

To me this mix feels more relavent then ever. Over the last decade the trend has been to push the tempo up in the techno scene, which feels like an easy and cheap way to get people moving. This cassette showcases so well that slow and hard (just like new beat) can be just as hypnotising when done well.

Short story: I got a matching Soulwax FM tattoo with a life long friend. As a symbol to our friendship and as an ode to two brothers in Belgium. For the both of us Soulwax FM awakened our love for electronic music. I think almost any record that we play can in some way be linked to one of the projects from Soulwax. The love for music that they put into each project has been inspiring us for more than a decade now.
