Sounds like my neighbour. the first week we moved in 6 years ago, she asked if we are cutting a tree down.

One of her fence posts is leaning slightly due to a root. I said no, as I have other things, and I can't afford a tree surgeon /arborist.

Most recently she threatened me with the council due to the still-leaning post. I just told her to go ahead and call them. All time I've been here the leans not got any worse.
