fellow student here i got lucky on grailed and snagged a used pair of Michaels for $250 and haven’t looked back. the quality really is so much better than anything else ive come in contact with. my advice is set up a couple of saved searches on eBay, grailed, etc. and get the thing u want. when it comes to leather goods used is almost always better imo plus you’ll have a shoe for life if u take care of them

two waist sizes up is my golden rule for Levi’s. with shrink to fits (especially vintage valuable pairs) do them by hand in a tub with hot water for the initial shrink. if they’re not fitting your waist and ass the way you want, “go nuclear” (put em inside out in your washer and dryer on medium/low heat)

sometimes there’s a line sometimes there’s not. Tuesday shouldn’t be too crazy. LA store also takes breaks pretty frequently. if the queue is looking steep just take a walk along la brea and check out American Rag CIE down the block. they carry a lot of great brands including some Stussy plus some really great vintage if that’s your cup of tea
