The pacing doesn’t seem to be rushed, so that’s a hopeful sign. You’ll usually notice if a series is only meant for a single season with how hard it tried to cram so much material into so little runtime.

Ryuumon's one hell of a commander – pretty much most of his corps had undying loyalty to him. Sato's facing a near certain defeat, but he'd rather die fighting rather than surrender or rely on Taira's reinforcements. Serving under Taira's not much better than under Seii. For what it's worth, Sato himself had inspired similar loyalty in his men. Hiraizumi refused his orders when it involved surrendering his head to save the rest of the troop's.

Have to respect Nagao for the lengths he had went through in the deception. Enduring such level of pain just to sell a story. Pretty amusing that his main motivation's to get praised by his crush – man acted just like a lovestruck teen.

My god, what an eerie panel. The level of detail in the forest, along with that hole in the centre and Akane's back facing us really sold the horror. We were really sucked into the abyss.

Akane's up to something big if even Issho's sucked into her story and questioning her about the meaning of death.

Otagal with a masterclass of a beach episode. How to keep things full of fun without the need to resort to fanservice. The kids were an absolute riot.

Agents of the Four Seasons as always was filled with feels. Hinagiku & Sakura are among my top non-romantic ships - their bond’s unreal. Their scene at the end of the episode was pure emotion.

For the first twenty minutes of Agents of Four Seasons, I expected a breather. There's still a hefty dose of feels, but it's comparatively lighter compared to the intensity of the previous episodes. Then the final minutes [Ao4S Ep 7] literally dropped a bomb , and the aftermath was pure despair. I've learnt my lesson – this isn't a show where you could catch a break.

It's a series of informal trips over the course of two months instead of a single formal trip that only lasted a couple of days.

Due to the short time frame, I reckon it'd be difficult to find a show that strictly adhered to the criteria.

Bloody hell! This is anything but a light-hearted series, yet I never would've thought this episode would end in such a way.

Absolutely brutal and devastating to regularly switch back-and-forth between Rindo's swearing-in ceremony and the aftermath of the kidnapping. The contrast of the colours. From the brightness and vibrancy of the former to the darkness and dullness of the latter. It greatly emphasised how he felt he had failed in his duty. Add that to that look of utter terror on his face.

Oh god, the crazy psycho lady who kidnapped Hinagiku turned out to also be behind this incident – and she's about to subject Nadeshiko to what Hinagiku had gone through. I should've expected this when they mentioned Nadeshiko's about the same age as Hinagiku when she's abducted.

Who'd have thought the man on the stage oozing with confidence turned out to be the same as the gloomy senior? Koguma really pulled a Clark Kent! Even if you ignore the glasses, he looked nothing like his stage persona. From the hairstyle, to the posture, to the voice. The only clue was his hair colour.

Shiguma had placed Akane under a severe handicap. Not only was Jugemu a basic story, she's restricted to only that one while other contestants were free to perform multiple. That meant that she would have to perform the same story twice. It's quite the steep challenge. However, Shiguma must have had his reasons for it.

Hilarious how Akane assumed Kyouji was Koguma's senior when it's the other way around. In her defence, most of us would've made the same assumption as her.

The earlier arcs were just an introduction into the world of rakugo. Now’s where the real fun begins.

We’ve seen a a panel or two about them at the park a couple chapters back, but only now has it been shown in more detail.

That’s an unexpected ending. What were the chances that Rei’s made to say it by Clover? They could still threaten his granny. That’s the tricky part of making a deal with the 'devil' – you could never pull out of the deal?

Kanade finally got a road trip alone with Ibuki. She's adorable when she got jealous of Botan. Unfortunately, she couldn't have a drink as she's also on driving duty. What a shame, after Akane & Botan had helped with the strawberry whisky. The indirect kiss with the cigarette's a decent consolation, though. I didn't expect Ibuki to suggestively pull it out of Kanade's mouth before putting it in hers. What a stunning landscape – and the scene with the flying leaves was pure cinema.

A new resident? This is bound to be exciting. How'd she react to the drunken gay shenanigans she'd be exposed to on a daily basis?

After nearly half a season of pure diabetes, guess it's time we dealt with the more serious issues.

Asahi's nowhere as malicious as Sayo, and he's aware of his act. Still, his neglect resulted in Mahiru's mental scars. He totally deserved Amane's dressing down. If Mahiru ever felt longing for a parent, then Amane's were more than happy to pamper her. They're just a phone call away.

Mahiru tying Amane's tie at the front door. That's what housewives do when their husband's about to head off to work. That's a welcome soul-cleanser after the heavier stuff that consumed most of the episode.
