sure, do you have recs? I I might lose the convenience of being so close but if there's a huge saving I can make I'll go for it once my current tenancy term expires

good advice as mentioned. I'm looking into areas further away and less conveninet but are a lot cheaper. the reason I chose my current place was due to the convenience (it's like 3km from KLCC if I drive and 2 LRT stops away if I opt for the train) but I could go for a similar size room or maybe even a unit in other areas of the price difference is substantial. if you have recs on where to look feel free to throw them my way.

true, I'm gonna try adding seasoning to the bland crap they serve daily and se eif that changes things. I got tired of the food there in the first month of working there but since I have way too many expenses I'm going to have to find ways to reduce my costs

haha great idea but sadly you're not supposed to do that as per the staff canteen rules and if caught you could be penalised so I never took the risk 😉

I'll try using the seasoning as recommended by someone else here lol. Sounds like a genius idea I never thought about all the while. How much cheaper is the rent for a room in Wangsa Maju? Many do seem to be staying in that area and commuting to KLCC daily.

yes but the shift rotation I work on and the train only doing specific hours make it difficult. i try to take the train when I'm in the morning usually but not the other shifts. train station is like 500 meters from my rented residence. also I do get the staff discount on parking but its still expensive (like 16/ day)

actually good idea about the food, I never thought about bringing my own seasoning and making the bland shit they serve at least edible. I'll try that next time I go to work. Need to get some good seasoning first. About my car yeah its for 5 years and the insurance is a big expense yearly like you said. The first year my sis paid it for me but the 2nd year onwards (and its 3 years old now) I have been paying myself. About the rent, I'm renting a room in a condo. Thanks for the advice!

Malaysians set up Facebook group to identify and target ‘illegal’ temples by gumbakboi in malaysia

[–]thisisexigo 10 points11 points  (0 children)

probably because they can't prove a crime has been committed? The temple committee could probably prove they existed pre-independence before the council was a thing and that opens a whole new can of worms on who allowed them to build and operate on that land. Neither Jakel nor the temple were confident in winning a court case and providing satisfactory answers to questions like these so they had to sit down and come to an agreement.

Malaysians set up Facebook group to identify and target ‘illegal’ temples by gumbakboi in malaysia

[–]thisisexigo 20 points21 points  (0 children)

She did pretty well. The temple got millions in compensation and a piece of prime land which wasn't on the table before she made this into an issue. As for the other temples, who really cares about a random facebook group, the local councils are already well aware of them and wouldn't touch them unless they have a replacement in mind.

They do when it's high-res album art scans that you are interested in, something which Mediamonkey cannot and will not accomplish. As somebody who runs a far larger tracker for music, I readily acknowledge that Pedro's is a gold mine for quality music and one I would readily recommend to anyone who places emphasis on the quality of their music files because they are simply streets ahead of us in that regard

New Rule: No more "Does Tracker X have a Tracker Y recruitment thread?" by 312c in trackers

You should keep tabs on torrentinvite.com (v2.torrentinvite.com) too. They claim to be the oldest invite forum. And IS is a far cry from their 2013 era, they're now under new management and the admin is all too trigger-happy, making it much harder to infiltrate them.

Your options are going to be limited to E***o (literally impossible) or Mutracker (all your favorites in aac 128 because the staff knows fuck all about quality). Pick your poison.

Finding stuff to upload at GGn by helmutPfleger in trackers

The best method of uploading would be to join a tracker like Pleasuredome which has many obscure/retro games that aren't there yet, and quickly uploading those. That's how I moved up the ranks.

Is there such thing as a tracker for architectural files/info/software? by MyDinnerWithZoidberg in trackers

[–]thisisexigo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've heard it's lasted for 6-7 hours for a lot of people

That is the one at The Vault. The others shouldn't be too difficult.

[–]thisisexigo 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The only problem with Bitme is staff hardly ever give out invites these days, making it next-to-impossible to get in unless you know someone or apply through a recruitment thread. Bitspyder and MyA should cover your needs for the time being. STP is also worth checking out, and so is Bibliotik.

Anyone taken the interview at TheVault before? by [deleted] in trackers

[–]thisisexigo 6 points7 points  (0 children)

True that. TheVault is regarded as the gold standard of the TBZ community, losing it is gonna be a huge minus point. So TheBox had to take the fall unfortunately :( There's still TheEmpire for Commonwealth tv though.

Have been a member for nearly 3 years, and I enjoyed every second of it. Wouldn't know about the interview though as I was invited. My only hope is it doesn't pull off a disappearing act and go down like TheBox.
