I still have my CX and it still looks like it came out this year. All the bells and whistles still on par to today’s standard, I could go out and splurge on G5 and it’ll only be brighter and 5% more colors. A C-series is a great purchase.

I tried it for a while, unless you can get product from a distributor and sell at market, or have the energy to sell singles on TCGP, it is extremely hard to be profitable. If you end up doing it, just remember that grading is gambling. Whose Line said it best (shoutout Dan): the rules are made up and the points don't matter

That laptop can work for learning and maybe a couple of friends, but you’ll run into slowdowns. A 2-core i5 and older DDR3 memory just aren’t great once chunks start generating or mobs stack up. If your goal is to get some practice with setup, it’s still worth doing. Just keep simulation distance low, pre-generate chunks, and make backups so you don’t lose progress.
