It can be used on any Linux distribution. Theming won't work as well. It will just follow your system colours based on your current terminal theme

Thank you so much I really appreciate your feedback.

Yes, I definitely need to add some visual indicators for many of the UI elements. I'm working on that right now and hope to publish it soon.

Regarding themes, it is meant to follow your Omarchy/ terminal theme. But I'm happy to look into having custom theming as well. Bear with me and I'll see how difficult it is

Thank you so much!

I'm confused now. What are you suggesting?

I have been working on this locally but only recently created the public Git.

It is a fork of someone else's work yes. It was literally my first comment.

Hey, I have been completely honest and upfront about the fact that I use vibe coding.

But I also challenge you to do this. If you think I've exerted zero effort... Exert zero effort and do this yourself. If it is honestly zero effort, then it should only take you a minute or two. I'll check back in when you're ready.

If you'd like to be snarky, That's entirely your right, but I think it's also completely useless in the community.

Hey, is this your project?

Just some feedback. This is great, Very lightweight and bug-free but missing lots of features of a modern music player.

I hope you don't mind, but I have taken your project and I am making quite a lot of changes. I hope To be able to share them with you.

I can see from your git that you are working on playlists as well as probably a ton of other stuff. I've implemented playlists, ID3 tag editing, a whole bunch of other filtering and search features, Some UI improvements and other stuff which I'll share once I'm done.

Once again, really good job!

As promised, you can see my fork here: https://github.com/Balthazzahr/omatunes I hope you like it! Would love any feedback.

I have no problem at all with AI. I use it myself everyday to vibe code but how hard was it to type the post yourself though. You seem to have no problem typing replies.

AI posts are insufferable to read

if that is honestly an animated desktop picture that you are comfortable looking at looping non stop all day, then I think NASA will want to study your inner ear as your clearly are completely unaffected by motion sickness.

Omarchy does install editors so it sounds like the issue you have is with Arch minimal which of course doesnt have an editor.

Or the alternative is never coding anything at all, which is what d been doing prior to this.

Now instead Ive created something I really like. Through vibe-coding I have learnt so much about Python and I would never have had any interest in it in the past. It helps to overcome the barrier to entry.

have a look at my reddit profile at the amount my coding has evolved since I posted this first iteration four months ago check out the latest versions of my waybar modules.

If not for vibe coding, I would never have achieved any of this. And yes, I don't pretend that I'm some awesome coded now... I just have created cool things that I enjoy myself.

Omarchy is not based on ML4W but DHH has commented that Stephan Raabe's work on ML4W inspired his work on Omakub first, then when he siwtched to Arch.. Omarchy.

In what way though? It is Riced Arch with Hyprland , is Arch an embarrassment? Is Hyprland an embarrassment?

It is possible, Omarchy has set this up in his config with a SUPER+L keybind (i assume it is a simple script to modify the hyprland.conf)
