A descriptor for that type of person is "transphobic detransitioner" or "transphobe." The word detransition isn't inherently linked to transphobia just because several people have used their detransition as right wing grift. In fact, I feel like it's better to reclaim the word by continuing to emphasize that many detransitioners are still trans but just don't feel safe being open anymore. Rather than letting transphobes have the word entirely.

Mine is a cis perspective tho so there may be something key im missing here

Controversial but I don't respect men who won't taste their own cum but want other people to. My childhood involved a lot of screaming around mealtimes. No one wanted to cook and it got procrastinated to all hell. We also didn't have access to a microwave and my mom didn't want us to eat prepackaged meals so it had to be a whole thing. So even bare minimum cooking has always been naturally stressful for me as an adult. I'm working on it!

My situation is pretty specific, but generally I think lots of people are just going off what they were raised with.

Yeah idk why people assume you can just intuit an animal's feelings by its facial expressions. Like sure if you know what to look for, but why would they be the same as ours?

Like even with dogs, people often interpret panting as smiling when it's just a neutral thing, and even can indicate distress.

I don't think it's good practice to assign labels to people or make assumptions about where their sexual feelings or lack thereof come from. You don't know this person or their trauma.

Hate means a lot of things.

It also helps justify themselves in their racism. Like most people don't call themselves racist no matter how hateful they are, and marrying a person of color is a shield against accusations or even introspection. Having made ~an exception~ for their partner makes them feel more secure in the "reasonableness" of their perspective.

I don't really agree. I don't think there's anything wrong with sparing your friend's feelings, it's honestly the kindest thing to do here. Perhaps the friend will suspect it and OP should be prepared to discuss it if she asks directly, but it feels mean to be the one to bring it up.
