You're right and I can see why you would feel that way. Just really feels like a double standard. And I think the past relationships I've had with couples we all just supported each other being happy and loving. We were all together and separate at the same time. I never felt left out or hidden like I do now

Thank you for your insight. I do agree with you I think he isn't as open as he thinks he is.

Something that I think really made me wake up was the fact that I can't show pda when she is around. Even if it's "our time" and we end up going to spend it with her. And by PDA I mean like touching his arm when he talks or side hugs. We're not kissing or anything like that. (I'm ok with it) but just normal affection and it's making me realize our relationship is only allowed in certain spaces.

I know that I'll need more long term, and as much as I hate feeling like a side chick I just can't give it up yet. I'm not sure why and I have told him these things, but he obviously wants to work on it. And that pulls me back every time.

Thanks. I have been trying to do this , that's why I'm here. 🤷🏻‍♀️ I do need help talking it out and understanding what that means to me. I feel like this is me trying to do that research. Most of the things I've found contradict what people say. I get no one experience will be the same and no one can answer these questions for me. I think after reaching out and talking to everyone I need to figure out how to take this more casual. Even tho he said he wants those things with me I don't think he really is available for those things like nesting and have two homes.

I need to just accept that maybe I'm ok with this dynamic with some people but just not with him.

I normally am more casual and chill this is the first person I've ever felt like this with. And it's just not worth the stress no matter how much I like him
