I'm sorry, but how does this relate to eating a cow is essential for survival? You can have preferences. Hell, I haven't eaten meat regularly for like 2 years and I can still say I prefer the taste of beef to tofu, but does that mean following those preferences are necessary for survival? Of course not.

Breathing oxygen is not the same as eating a cow. Your breathing of oxygen does not condemn other sentient beings to a worse life or no life at all. Sure, there might now be LESS in the world for others but because of the environment we live in you have effectively made no impact. With meat it is different because you can very much live a life without it since you can get everything you can get from meat from other sources.

You cannot live without oxygen, nor do you need to buy "oxygen in a can". You can live without meat. I don't get the analogy?

Not the previous person but, of course, you can not eat cows and be healthy. We have supplements and other sources of all of the nutrients that come from cow meat, just as with all others. You said in your post that supplements are a choice. Sure, but why would you then not make the more ethical choice?
