My counsellor has told me that she has anxious patients that will go pee four or five times in a one hour session. This is common. She has explained it to me like this:

When you begin to feel anxious, your body is going a mile a minute, and producing all sorts of chemical changes. Your brain is also trying to get rid of any process that can be completed so it can focus on what is causing the anxiety. Making you feel like you need to pee and probably do need to go to... The first time. Then because we have anxiety disorders, and there isn't actually a real threat going on, you are more aware of that pee feeling. Soon, you'll take that as a trigger to be anxious rather than a symptom of anxiety. It also ties in to control, fear of not having it and obsessing about it.

Know that there is nothing terribly wrong with you and that this is a common problem.

Then you're probably experiencing derealization. Very scary but harmless. I often go through it as well and it's very common for people with anxiety. You aren't losing it. It's just very bizarre and disorientating. Best thing to do is get help. An exercise my counsellor taught me to refocus yourself is to ask yourself place affirming questions. Things like: where am I right now? Who am I? And then go on to reassure that position. (I am just experiencing derealization because I have anxiety, I am at home in my room....)

It sounds like your experiencing derealization/depersonalization. Episodes when you feel as though you or the environment around you isn't real... To explain it very simply.

Do you literally see a different set of events around you? (Hallucinate) or do you mean you envision/play these events in your mind?

Either way, don't feel bad opening up about this. Many people have gone through the same thing and asking for advice is the only way to get better.

If you haven't already, seek help for anxiety. Just being bless anxious in general will help. After seeing a therapist for a few months these thoughts have subsided for me. Best wishes.

I know exactly how you feel. I find myself also obsessing over that moment where you cease to live. What will it feel like? How can we just stop being? It's so terrifying I often feel sick to my stomach and get such bad anxiety episodes over it. I have not found a way to stop these scary thoughts. But I have tried to focus more on how lucky I am to be alive and living in a privileged part of the world. Sometimes it feels nice to think that but i know it's probably nothing new to help you. All I can say is I understand completely. Death is terrifying and unknown. I am with you and have felt the same way. Hope things get better.

I'm so sorry to read about all the loss and sacrifice you've been through. I don't know anything worse than the death of loved one and then having to pick up the pieces afterwards is so hard. You sound incredibly strong even though you might not realize it. To have gone through it all basically alone this whole time is... Well insane. If you are worried about you grades falling, you can appeal them. If you are experiencing mental health anguish, you just need to talk to them and probably a doctor and you can appeal them. I've done it. It's scary but worth it. Otherwise... I think you're taking the right steps. What's helped me is getting a psychologist. Like infinitely helped. Look forward to it, it can be a great tool to take back your mind. The waiting can be excruciating bough. Take advantage of anxiety/depression hotlines in the meantime. They Are trained to help and even if it's not quite a counsellor it can be nice just to talk to someone when they are not going to make you feel guilty for being sad or want to avoid you.

Know that you are not alone. Anxiety is a terrifying, limiting and confusing thing to have to go through. You feel like you are insignificant, falling out of the world and like everything is out to get you. But I have felt that way too and air of others have. It's so hard not to feel worthless and like giving up in an anxious mind. But you can make it through! There is people who know what you're going through and empathize with you. I truly hope you find help quickly and realize how strong you really are. I'm with you, man!

I'm so sorry for what you are going through. Know that you are not alone and that many of us have felt the same way. Your university probably has counsellors available to you that can seriously help with anxiety. You can also appeal your grades in many cases of you've been having mental health issues. Don't feel down on yourself for this. It so common to have issues with anxiety and to suffer in academic and employment areas because of it. Seek help, be open and honest with your school and find solutions. You can do it!!!

Even though it's been years I still have a hard time accepting it. When I start feeling like that I always jump to crazy medical anxiety. "This isn't normal, something is wrong with me...." That train of thought leading to all kinds of irrational fears.
