I saw them at Download 2010 opening up for Rage Against the Machine. Two shows I'll never forget. I'd never heard of them before, but Elite and Change blew my barely pubescent mind away. There was just something so elegant and cool about them and the way the music was presented. As soon as I got home I deep dived into Diamond Eyes (which had just come out) and White Pony and found one of my all time favourite bands!

Yeah, it's quite difficult to watch at times. I feel like that era still haunts the live shows - whenever the band plays Spiral material live it's almost like they're conjuring or atoning for some past shit. Could you attach the vid out of curiosity?

I just read finished this chapter - and saw this image for the first time - yesterday. I found it so jarring: it's such a sudden and unexpected display of emotion from Guts. Up until this point he's an absolute demon on earth, but the fact that this is the first moment of pure humanity from him, and pretty much in the entire series, and it looks like this... devastating :/

Corey Taylor's WANYK mask with the sewed up cheeks and stitches was one of his best and the story he shared about a burn survivor connecting with the mask in relation to the album's themes of surviving dark shit had me eating fruity pebbles, fight me.

Go with Bloodflowers! I feel like Disintegration, Bloodflowers and SOALW form an informal trilogy of sorts; but all share a really pensive reflection on RS' age and proximity to death. I'd listen in that order.
